3... 2... 1... BLASTOFF!
Hello there, 'Shroom readers! Issue 225 has successfully launched and is now traveling to deep space, where we will hopefully find more aliens to recruit to the team. This one's got plenty of elbow grease put into it from our staff and writers alike, from our out-of-this-world graphics courtesy of Ninja Squid, TPG, and GBA, to a whole galaxy full of sections including guest submissions and six special features! I could go on and on about those, but honestly, you're better off checking out the issue for yourself instead of reading me ramble about what's in it. And of course, I can't go without thanking Lakituthequick, whose technical expertise wrapped this issue up in a nice little bow.
Okay, maybe I'll talk about special features a little bit. We've put together a staff collab with a whole bunch of constellations referencing The 'Shroom and the greater community, so bring a telescope! Meta Knight, Sparks, Quizmelon, Roserade, and Boo1268 have contributed specials as well, but you'll have to check those out for yourself! Be sure to check out the End-of-the-Year Awards as well, where we recognize some of the contributions of our writers and other users to the paper and community over the past year! Of course, we appreciate everything you all do to make this community a better place - even if it's as simple as chatting with writers about their sections!
Wrapping things up, the annual Director Election is here! Who will run The 'Shroom in 2026? That's up to you to decide! If that sounds up your alley, read the rules on the election page and get a campaign going! If it doesn't, keep an eye on things anyway and offer support to the campaign you like the most. We also have a staff position opening up, as Meta Knight will be stepping down from the role of Statistics Manager and we'll need someone to fill his shoes.
