Identical designs or voices don't matter. Storywise and semi-character wise, they are separate characters. Also, Baby Bowser sometimes wears a plain white bib. This is like saying the "Koopa Kid/Baby Bowser" character from the Mario Party series is practically the same character as Baby Bowser...

I'd say it should be fully identical to a normal Item Box. (even on the map) I mean a random box out in the open that looks identical is more convincing than one that has an upside down question mark out in the open. Then you could also place it among real item boxes to fool other players...

Anything would be good as long as it's not Illumination Minion. And given Nintendo's future collaborations with Illumination and how they made DK look like the movie DK, it's definitely possible, unfortunately. My guesses for the next filler characters (not already showcased) are Purple Platinum...

Potentially hot take but I hope MK9 removes gliding, anti-gravity, kart customization, and the coin mechanic (and item). I like anti-gravity but it's time for a new gimmick. Additionally, I don't hate gliding but it doesn't add anything to the formula in my opinion and is low-key kinda boring...
