Ah, thanks! I didn't read the Lost Levels entries—guess I should have seeing the connection between it and the VS. game.

The wiki doesn't mention this trick I remember from the arcade VS. version: If you defeated Bowser and waited to jump on the ax when the timer was at 000. the timer bonus would count down from 999. Anybody else remember this?
