Not my first handheld but definitely the first handheld I put serious time into. Were it not for the screen crunch and the gba audio it would probably have the best versions of the old Marios.

Celebrating SMB's 40th anniversary with a movie is certainly a choice.

I tell ya, this game does a lot of stuff I was not expecting.

I mean, one Mario game out of...however many in a franchise over 40 years old isn't exactly disproving what he said :P

I mean its not like the movie is "re-writing" the canon of the franchise (as loose a thing as that is) its just an adaptation doing its own thing.

I'm probably just saying this because I'm in that kind of mood but Mario needs more pirates.

I fully expect this movie to be a bloated mess of stuff where the plot is extremely thin and mostly an excuse for set pieces. You know like the first one.

Mario doesn't really consider storytelling a priority.
