Awards Killing Game 2x2: Moon of Hope (Game Thread) - Night 3 - Gadd's Labs, Double Darkvision

The Cliffside - is there a rope and water at the bottom?

Is the water similar to the Kitchen, Fountain, and Space Exhibit?
There is water splattered onto some of the jagged rocks. You flash a darklight on it and it sparkles brightly. No similarity to the other sources. Additionally there is a rope tied here to one of the barricades, loosely tossed aside.

Take one of the ectoplasm vials and pour it into the toilet. What does it look like? I shine the Darklight on it too.
You're gonna need a plumber to get that out of the pipes. It dissolves somewhat reliably but makes the water glow under darklight.

I jump into the water in the Kitchen. Compare that too.
You jump into the water. The judges will evaluate your dive.

(Ooc beam) can we body check Lyra, Reigen, Ratigan, Lee, & The Lash for wetness and also shine a darklight on them

(Ooc beam) can we body check Lyra, Reigen, Ratigan, Lee, & The Lash for wetness and also shine a darklight on them
You examine these people for wetness. Lash is a bit sweaty, but otherwise muscular and lashing. Reigens back is somewhat wet and cold, and he is wearing a diving suit. Lyra is slightly wet all over. Lee and Ratigan appear to have sopping wet clothes up to their knees.

lyrafolder_pshiey.png

Kyehehe... Looking over the case facts again, maybe Reigen wasn't the best pick. It serves him right though, the two-bit wannabe excuse for a paranormal investigator. What did he expect, spending time in the Kitchen? Historically, records show that that whole area is a hotbed for murderous activity. You either kill, get killed, or end up as a stooge - and what are we at now? 3? 4 of those? That goes for the ghost too. Pie? What a waste of time, even if he was poisoning it.

Mmm, hold on. Kyeh, I gotta take this...

lyraphone2_zsujts.png

Yeah?

//:Interesting. You've exceeded our expectations.

I'll be the first to admit, our faith in your capabilities was low. Chaotic, unreliable. You're a clever girl, but your mind is just... Well, it's tragic, isn't it? Or so we had thought. Instead, here you are, our little surprise. You've eliminated an Anomaly, and in the process you've gained access to a level of information that the others may only yearn for.

You may not believe this, Dr. Orpheus, but we at the Bureau are certainly not needlessly cruel. No, no, as I am sure you are well aware, cruelty is simply a means to an end. A means to get results. Likewise, debts may be paid by the same means. At least for the time being, we have seen fit to grant you a reward. A means of motivation. You've earned a small degree of trust - and thus, in accordance with the upgrade "incentive" provided by the host of this facility's incident zone, we will entrust you with a loosening of your shackles.

Do not disappoint, continue your progress - and perhaps more will follow. This will only hurt a little.://

Wait, what does that m-?

....Aaaahhhh...

This.... This power... this is...

lyranewneutral_na9lkg.png

...This is... Kyeheheh.... This is more like it.

Kyahaha... ha... Finally. I feel it again. The swirling and churning of the world. Fleeting, ephemeral, all things coming and going with the roiling of the tides. A thousand possibilities, a thousand discoveries, all spiraling out of this singular moment - the center of the maelstrom. I should be thanking you, all of you! I suppose there's a place for those with middling intellect in this facility after all - I never could've gotten away with it if I'd surrounded myself with fellow geniuses, after all.

lyraevil.bak_skhalk.png

In case you're not getting it through your thick skulls, I killed Boo, not Reigen, not Ratigan or Lee or ESPECIALLY that insignificant twerp Victor.

Funny, isn't it? The ghost presented himself as a keeper of hidden knowledge, one who knows all there is to know. Kyeheheh... A lot of good that did him! It was easy, you know. A butcher knife to the chest, and a few more wounds from the chisel I took from the Studio. Why leave the chisel behind? Confusion, misdirection, to make you think a moron did it. Why else? To whatever credit I can give him, he did try to fight back. He almost hit me with one of those stupid pies. Wouldn't that've been a pain?

You were so close too, Albina. Really, the only one with the bare minimum IQ to count as functionally human. I traveled between the water sources in the Hydro Generators and the Kitchen Sink, then... Kyeh... Kyehehehehe...

ladleboard_doqodk.png

Kyahaha! I even gave you a hint! A big one, right in the open for you to see - and still, you never had a clue!

The "object" that summoned the water? I showed to you on Day 1! The ladle from the Fishing Hut! If this little Gaddget is any indication of what Dr. Zooks is capable of when he bothers investing his efforts in something besides ghosts, then no doubt he's got a whole treasure trove of revolutionary Esoteric technologies. Just a flick of the wrist, and I was able to scoop up the contents of one of the Hydro Generator basins, and dump it alllll over the Kitchen and Space Exhibit!

You should've paid more attention - one of those basins was still in the process of refilling, after all. Who else would've done it? Porticia? Get real.

fountainboard_qqbpe0.png

Of course, the turtle made things a little more complicated when I burst from the Fountain. Almost boiled to death - probably would've if I didn't smash my way out with my thermos. That's another point to you too, Albina. Give yourself a pat on the back - that's two chances to kill me that you ended up squandering.

Wasn't great on the wrists, y'know?

lyraevil.bak_skhalk.png

But all that, and the lizard still patched me up out of the goodness of his heart. Kyahahaha!

As the rivers that crisscross this world flow, I too have slipped through every crack, defied every attempt at capture, and I've carried your chances of learning the truth away with me. I've adapted... I've pushed forward... I've earned the trust of my employers, and now there's nothing you can do to stop me while I plunder this stupid facility in the name of science!

phoneevil_inp3ud.png

In case you haven't forgotten... I'm the one with all the passwords. You really wanna risk it? Take a swing? Because if anything happens to me... I'll take them down with me, down into the depths where all forgotten things float, to be crushed and collated into an undefinable singularity. You'll never recover a thing - and you'll never learn a thing, unless you know your place and play nicely.

Kyeh... heheh... heheheh... It's only a matter of time now, until I unravel the secrets of the G.H.O.S.T. Complex... and the Dark Moon Shards....

HUH?! Is that my magic water spoon, which famously lets me, the great detective Luke Atmey, use infinite water and teleport through puddles? Gimme a look!

GRRRRRRR! SHUT YER TRAP!

Geh heh heh heh heh heh... Now I see! It's all gettin' real clear...

atmey-wild.png

Zvarro! The truth's clearer than mud. Sorry to break it to ya, but that's just an imitation copy. If it were the real deal, you wouldn't even need to use the Hydro Generator as a water supply, cause it comes with infinite water, no extra charge. Heh, look what that Gadd guy needs to mimic a fraction of my power. Still can't beat the real deal, pal. As for youse, I'll let ya hang on to that one, since I'm feelin' nice, and it seems like ya know how to put it to good use. Maybe just don't kill any more people or whatever.

Once more, the votes had been cast. Once more, those assembled had chosen one of their number for death.

Only this time...

"Wrong, wrong, WROOOONG! Gahahahaha! Completely wrong! Props to the wet scientist, that was some exquisite corpse work there!"

"That was a remarkably tortured reference..."

kb_smug.png

"Shush.

Anyway! Just 'cause you voted wrong doesn't mean I'm passing up my portrait. Tanner, you're up!"

Once again ready to act, Tanner swoops in with the scythe. Before Reigen can react, his soul is cleaved from his body. The latter drops lifelessly, and King Blocky slams down a glowing portrait atop the spirit of Reigen, sending him spiralling down and down...

Into his office. Sitting in the chair, Reigen looks around the familiar place, only to realize it's unfamiliar. He's finally made it, as far as he can tell. The office is decorated head to toe with a variety of awards and medals, all for his blueprints. After all, he was a master of blueprints in the Manor, so he carried it home and made it even better! Basking in his success, Reigen looks over his blueprints. Ah yes, the Spirit Destroyer Enhancer. This one he'd given to Mob, to really juice him up. Oh, some mail. What's that?

Bills, as it turns out. Bills that he hadn't paid. More and more of them keep piling up, Reigen having just kept all the new money when he finally struck it rich. He couldn't bear to part with it, not even for bills... As he flips through and tosses them away, he notices something odd on the last one. It states "Thalassic Repossession Enacted", dated that very day. Thalassic Repossession... Reigen ponders what that could be, only to see a slight leak emerging from one of the framed awards. He gets up, and heads over to straighten it, only for a sudden wave of water to burst from beneath it. The waterspout knocks Reigen back, as several other frames begin to leak, before water starts pouring from them as well.

Running to the door, Reigen slams and crashes into it. He notices it's not only sealed, but a pair of shining blue eyes are staring at him with malice from the other side. Before he can figure it out, the water has quickly risen too much for him to do anything other than float and swim. Trying to keep his head above the water, Reigen swims towards the other wall, but there's no exits there. The water hits the ceiling, and as it does, Reigen pounds against the ceiling. He's not going to make it out... until a pair of strong arms wrap around him. Dr. Lyra Orpheus had teleported in, and now she teleports out, the two of them emerging from a water tank.

Lyra dives back in, while Reigen looks up to see Mob. Mob stares down at him...

"Oh, a spirit. I know what to do."

And with a massive wave of psychic power, Reigen is obliterated.

In reality, King Blocky Boo holds up his fancy new portrait with a grin.

Reigen Arataka was executed! His role was CODE: CYANOTYPE, the Ultimate Blueprinter!

Code: CYANOTYPE
🩻 Ultimate Blueprinter
Blueprints, blueprints, blueprints. You have a knack for reading, interpreting, and iterating on grand designs and made by others, especially those on blueprints, and this has given you a certain... charisma. People naturally follow your written orders, and often blindly attribute grand designs and plans to yourself, when in truth, you've never drafted an original design before, and the very thought terrifies you. You're just good at reading the room, especially when it's drafted with proper measurements. Drawn to this manor by its absurd layout and cacophony of weird rooms, you wish to study its blueprints to make some sense of it, and eyeball a few experimental doo-dads and doo-gadds for potential business opportunities.

Hm, "Ghosts", you say? Certainly not in your sights. All you're seeing is blue.

Abilities - Ultimate Blueprinter
  • Your role specializes in "blueprints". With your pure instincts and vibe engineering, if you encounter any broken device, even crude player-made ones, you can partially return it to its original function. You can hazard a guess of how it works based on its components, presuming you have them all.
    • When doing this, you must dedicate a short amount of time at night to drawing a schematic blueprint of the device you're about to repair. You can skip this with access to the device's blueprint. You might be able to find such prints on the map already.
  • With a blueprint, you can hotwire a vehicle to use it yourself, or jury-rig crude devices and explosives (with access to proper materials) with exceptional speed, but an inventor you are not. You can't use this power to assemble complex devices with entirely original functions, only modify or build on those that are present or broken.
  • You can pass any blueprint to another player, and with extended time (a few consistent nights of progress, depending on the complexity of the device), they can also build or repair the schematic you've drafted or located. Your annotated instructions are naturally very easy to follow.
  • Finally, after encountering a functional example of a Gadd device, found on the map, you can bootleg a copy of them for your own needs, and place them on the map yourself. You can only create one copy per item unless otherwise stated. To do this, you will again need to draft your own blueprint of the item you're using and building.
  • Test Subject Gaddgets - With access to a players full rolecard, you can create a one-shot bootleg for your own use. It will have host-adjusted balances to act as a weaker version of the role you bootleg, and also exist as a physical object that can be examined.
  • Fake Gaddgets - These Gaddgets have no purpose or function, but they can fool the registration system used by the Complex well enough to let you add them to the Paranormal Test Subject Register. You can do this up to five times.
    • This mysterious document contains details about Gaddget Powers possessed by other test subjects. You also managed to weasel your way into getting a single file in your room on Night 1 for your own reference, and the others will be scattered around the Complex for discovery.
  • Pixelator - ???
  • Z-Gate - ???
  • Ghostly interactions:
    • Despite being labelled a ghost power, and the fact that your bootleg devices can replicate the great inventor Gadd's technology, you have nothing to do with ghosts or the supernatural at all. Upon close examination of your bootleg Gadd devices, they might appear functionally different.
  • Weaknesses: You have no notable weaknesses, but require access to parts and blueprints to use your powers at all. Utilizing the drafting room, or either of the two laboratories, you may wish to "borrow" blueprinting paper, measuring devices, scrap metal and spare parts for your bootlegging journey, which means you might have to return there often.
  • Forbidden Action: You cannot destroy your blueprints or have them destroyed by others. You must keep them in pristine condition, otherwise, how else will your genius be recognized?

A shame to see you ejected so soon, Boo... though it appears you'll grace us with your company for a short time more. The years have not dulled your talents. Whether I hear of your banishment or or your possession or your being cast into void, you return so rapidly! The perks of a paranormal pedigree, am I right? Your ejection is one to lament, but at least they're clarifying where we phantoms and half-phantoms ought to put our allegiances! I hope you're paying heed too, Suit! Most number-crunchers would've turned tail by now, but here you are, filing on. Would be a shame to lose someone so dedicated in an... accident.

For all your troubles, a reward is in order. Before you depart, Boo... Oh, what one can glean from what supplies an estate brings in! Or a... complex... Nyeh, whatever... Shall we purr-use all that Gadd shipped in and the associated documents?

Code: ELECTROLYTES
As a Water Wraith, you possess a fragment of the elemental demonic spirit N██'s power, granting you minor resonance with the element of Water.

Abilities - Water Wraith I
  • You can produce small balls of water on command, these can be thrown, and explode on blunt contact, releasing a burst of elemental water.
  • Once per night, you can imbue yourself with a momentary burst of watery speed and stealth, allowing you to perform difficult maneuvers and evade obstacles, as if you were made of water.
  • You can only move in the Paranormal Dimension. You can have objects move with you in the Paranormal Dimension so long as you maintain contact with them. Please toggle the floor maps in the OP of this thread for more information.
  • You can turn invisible to mortals on command, but this invisibility is limited to a few minutes at a time. You will always be visible to other entities in the Paranormal Dimension, and under Darklight.
  • You cannot kill. You may accomplice with a living player. Only one accomplice may exist per case.
  • You are weak to all standard ghost weaknesses in this universe, and the element of Ice.

Under The Ice is now accessible.
A Z-Gate has been uncovered. Living players can access the Paranormal Dimension by entering through Z-Gates.

While in the Paranormal Dimension, Living players have the following traits:
  • Can only move in the Paranormal Dimension.
  • Can move objects with them in the Paranormal Dimension (i.e. through walls), so long as they maintain contact.
  • Are completely invisible, except under darklight, and to other players in the Paranormal Dimension.

Updated Rooms
  • Ice Lake: The main feature of the Snowy Grounds The lake has been converted to a pile of frozen papery mush, with a tunnel leading to an unsealed hatch. A long ice slide leads from here to Under the Ice. A small fishing hut is adjacent to the now not-lake. An abandoned, frozen-over water pump serves as a spawning ground for Ice Elemental spirits.
  • Kitchen: What used to be a functional kitchen has thoroughly flooded. All ovens and stovetops are unusable. Officially the most dangerous room in the facility. Weird noises can be heard from the dumbwaiter.
  • Smuggler's Hideout: A small room with plenty of treasure, currently frozen inside blocks of ice. All of the fanciest treasure chests have been raided.
  • 💡Under the Ice - A secret bunker entered via a long ice slide from under the Icy Lake. Contains emergency survival supplies, long term rations, and firearms. The Z-Gate has been powered, allowing access to the Paranormal Dimension from this room.

Available NPCs:
  • Vigil - The Valley groundskeeper who watches over the Complex's residents, living and non. An expert mortician and gardener all the same, his primary residence is the Graveyard. Where there's smoke, there's fire, and his lantern can often be spotted from the Complex's misshapen windows, wandering the distant valley grounds at night. Has powers related to accurate autopsies and accurate testimony.
  • Mona Warnewicke - Gadd's trusted Elemental Expert, and a renowned clutz, who elected to take on the Chief Safety Officer role after it was left abandoned for many years. Her handbook is full of seemingly endless safety regulations. Will happily provide guidance on safe work and elemental reactions to anyone who asks, which is usually no one. Has powers related to elemental magic, and methods of death.
  • Tanner Tosca - The general assistant for Gadd, a spectral figure who was in the Complex even before Gadd was. Exhausted but unwilling to disrupt his jobs, Tanner can always be found where Gadd needs some help, except for when he's decided to lurk in the basement to escape yet another asinine request. Has powers related to accomplicing and partnership.
  • King Blocky Boo I - The big bad, free again at last. An amnesiac cubical demonic spirit, he is the archrival of Professor Gadd Zooks, having finally broken free of his prison. Has powers related to murder and performing successful kills.

Bond Powers
  • All - Bronze Frame - Strangers to Acquaintances - No NPC will agree to be an accomplice at this portrait level.
  • Vigil- Bronze Frame - Mortician I - Upon request, Vigil will conduct a more thorough examination of the body than a player, and offer additional insight.
  • Mona - Bronze Frame - Trace Elements I - Upon request, Mona will indicate whether or not a fire, flood, or frozen object was created/affected by Elemental Magic, as well as a likely (but not guaranteed) source.
  • Mona - Silver Frame - Crash Test Dummy III - As someone who's died and lived and died again, many times, Mona can be asked to possess a body, or a suitable stand-in for a body, and perform KG physics experiments from a first person perspective. She'll then give an assessment on whether it would match the victim's experience and current state, and suggest certain experimental adjustments that a host could not. This power can be used repeatedly, but its effectiveness lessens with each use.
  • Tanner Tosca - Bronze Frame - Camaraderie I - Upon request, Tanner will give an upfront indication as to whether he feels there's an accomplice affecting the case. There can only be one accomplice per case. Accomplices will be debuffed if their associated killer is caught.
  • King Blocky Boo I - Bronze Frame - Two by Two by Two EX - Starts Awards Killing Game 2x2. Oh no... there is no disabling this power either.

Inspect the generator and the portal/hoop/whatever thingy in the bunker room.

File the page I composed on KBB and attempt to gain insight into his defenses/combat approach vectors/other useful secrets he doesn't want us to know.
You power the small generator, and the "hoop" flashes with a green bolt of energy, before it opens.... a new path.

I'll show off my The Fourth Element and Gadd's So-Called Plan notes. Maybe you'll get something out of it.

Horology Studio Notes - The Fourth Element said:
[It seems these notes have been stolen from one of Gadd's notebooks].

Elemental studies have demonstrated that there are three principal magical elements that spirits within the valley resonate with:
- Fire, a domain championed by the great elemental spirit "Surtr".
- Ice, similarly ruled by the great elemental spirit "Ymir"
- Water, lastly maintained by the great elemental spirit "Nix".

These three harbingers have ties to the natural environments of the valley and can be summoned with the use of sigils. But, there exists a fourth element, a curious glue that holds the foundations of their magical influence together like an aether: slime. Green, radiant, and sticky. Most of my inventions utilize an ectoplasmic green catalyst capable of capturing pure elemental energy, neutralizing it, and converting it to a ghostly medium to mimic powers of actual ghosts, or even mix it with paint to entrap them within portraits, and it remains clear there are fundamental interactions between it and the other magical elements that surpass our worldly understanding.

Yet, I've failed to encounter an elemental associated with the element, so perhaps my assertion is mere... universal coincidence.

No matter, I've assigned subject ██████ a vial of potential spiritual conduit to hopefully draw out a potential "green spirit" as part of the final grand experiment. Additional tubes of "elemental Slime" will be kept in the Dungeons.

Horology Studio Notes - Gadd's So-Called Plan said:
[Crudely scribbled notes from the big bad's big bad book.]

- Distribute his final Gaddgets and Ghost Powers for the experiment. (<-- Some of these aren't even useful. One that makes you bald? I'll give them some more deadly experiments to remember.)
- Unentangle """""his dimension""""" from this one. (<-- What is that guy even on about?)
- Conclude the final Grand Experiment, and rid the valley of paranormal influence forever. (<-- NOT going to happen.)

Um, pardon my absence during the last case. I was tasked with calculating a new assessment on the building... and it's only getting harder by the day...

Per my contract, here is another summary of the last 24 hours of damages we have uncovered. Please, inform me promptly if there is anything critical I missed!

-The Space Exhibit has been invariably tarnished with the discovery of a dead body and the mass amounts of water released within.
-A one-of-a-kind car model was tarnished and lit ablaze, before crashing near the end of the driveway. The specialized Darklight technology in its headlights is likely the most expensive loss.
-The East Gallery's gallery of physical art has been smashed to bits, while the West Gallery's portraits were likely all burned. Each of these pieces was a unique commission, and the collective costs are practically uncountable.
-Despite a complete renovation of the kitchen (which hopefully did not come at the expense of any savings account!), it has now been completely flooded. If the floor doesn't give tonight, removing all of the eventual mildew will take thousands of dollars.
-The Icy Lake was broken and filled with sheets of paper. I have no means of knowing whether or not those pieces of paper were important. Let's just say they were for a higher insurance payout later.
-Several individuals have been coated in red paint... including myself, while wearing what is now presumed to be the Gaddget codenamed ARMISTICE. Even if any technological interior is safe, the expensive threading is surely ruined.
-The Greenhouse has been thoroughly raided of any gourds. Though some have already started to grow back, each of those would've sold for $6.99 on standard store shelves.

Ah, well, one other thing. As a reminder, I dug the hole in the Hollow Tree Heights last night, in an attempt to see if the keyhole shape in the shadows meant anything. All I found buried there was an empty seed packet.

Just now, I looked closer, and the packet depicts a beanstalk with some kind of... key shape, on its top. Plus, on its back side, there is an astrological symbol... I believe it is for Saturn?

How would I know about astrology? Some clients have asked for very interesting techniques for predicting market crashes...

Anyway, if anyone is still interested in "unlocking" the tree's canopy, it might be worth it to start searching for seeds! Just please don't damage the tree in the meantime!

GHOSTS DONT DIE!

What did I say?! I told you all that you can't stab a ghost to death, and the moment the show's over, our new "host" brings him back like nothing ever happened! And he's still acting like they're not on the same side? This- this- this- this is just, it's pathetic that we're even entertaining this nonsense, really.

Mark my words. You CANNOT trust a ghost. Ever.

----

  • - This is Professor Gadd Zooks, recording from yet another resounding paranormal success. ███████ Further experiments on the Portrificationiser present in the Dark Lab indicate it's possible to augment ghost powers (and hence the Gaddgets developed to mimic them) according to their user's personality, but the overall result is still unstable, with side effects ranging from ████████████ to ████████████████████ and █████.
  • - I've tested the experiment with Vigil. He has noted his lantern is producing more smoke, and acting like a censer, which increases the effectiveness of the ███████████████. However, he notes the radius of the light is much more reduced, and its harder for him to see due to ████████████████.
  • - With a bit more testing in the upcoming Grand Experiment, test subjects should be able to submit their Codenames for personality augmentation. Right now, with no further refinement, this will grant them a single +Positive trait, and some kind of -Negative offset, tuned to their personalities, or who the bearer of the device is, instead of what the device is. The development of this device was due to repeated experiments on CODE:█████████, focusing from its transmutational nature based on desire, which remains contained in the ███████████████ to prevent ██████████████.
  • - The device will remain disguised and non-functional until powered by ectoplasmic fluid in the Dark Lab, and the code from this log's #(24790B) inputted into its panel. From there, it should be usable by anyone.
  • - I hope to remove the -Negative offset with more testing. Right now though, this serves as a momentous breakthrough in allowing non-inventors and non-ghosts to impart their spirits onto a paranormal device. Perhaps we could even use the Dark Moon and ███████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████.

Study Document - Exhibit Functions said:
The following document pertains to the functions in the Aviation Exhibit, Nautical Exhibit, Space Exhibit, and Train Exhibit. Please be advised NOT to touch these features, or take accesories and clothes from the exhibits, unless prompted.

Space Exhibit
The Space Exhibit features buttons disguised within constellations decorating its walls.
- LEO - Press Regulus and Denebola. Activates the exhibits Solar System display, which only functions during the day. All planets will rotate around the sun.
- ARIES - Press Hamal and Sheratan, input staff code located in Metal Lab. Activates the exhibits anti-gravity function, which will send out a paranormal wave that reverses gravity in both the Space Exhibit and the Aviation Exhibit. Dangerous! Further details can be found with the Metal Lab code.
- PISCES - Press Alpha Piscium and Beta Piscium. Activates Kitchen dumbwaiter's Incinerator, which will burn any objects within with elemental fire.
- AQUARIUS - Press Sadalsuud to generate "cloud cover" in the Aviation exhibit, detailed below.

Aviation Exhibit
Impacted by the effects of the antigravity function in the Space Exhibit. The planes will remain secured in place with cables during antigravity. A function known as "cloud cover" can be generated by pressing buttons in the Space Exhibit, detailed above. The cloud cover will generate water elemental mist, coating the room in a dense fog.

Nautical Exhibit
You learn of a button which allows you to cause a commotion, playing loud nautical music from the speakers and rocking the boat portion of the exhibit. The cannons are functional, and can be charged with elemental energy to fire a blast of elemental power capable of piercing walls.

Train Exhibit
Documents for the basement rails and how they operate exist in the room, as well as a manual for the Cargo Lift elevator. The train is functional, and will ride the looped train tracks within the exhibit when powered. The train whistle is loud and can be heard from several rooms away. Its speed can be increased to dangerous levels.

Here are the documents Prince Winter, Reigen and I found under the ice.
Present the Disregarded experiments notes, and the recording on the upcoming grand experiment and the possibility of Gadd vanishing.

File the page I composed on KBB and attempt to gain insight into his defenses/combat approach vectors/other useful secrets he doesn't want us to know.

WINTER:
Moon, are you there?

I'm having a terrible feeling. Call it a premonition if you will. But I could use your help with something I've been working on.

MOONWATCHER:
What would you have me do?
moonwatcher1.png

WINTER:
There is a spirit here. The one I've been telling you about; Gadd's enforcer who is keeping us prisoner.
If we are to fight this creature, I need more information on it. So I was hoping you could use your powers on it.

You can sense the entity, even across dimensions, can't you?

MOONWATCHER:
...Yes, I think so. It's a rather powerful presence. I can see it clearly in my mind's eye.
moonwatcher2.png

MOONWATCHER:
I sense... a bottomless well of depression. Unknowably, unfathomably vast, deep, and dense. A suffocating pressure, ever-present from all directions. A crushing weight that dims all hope and swallows happiness. I see the shackles constraining its soul, cast from iron, their cold searing scars into its phantasmal flesh...

Torment, unrelenting, everlasting torment. A sea of tears, streaming down his face like black ink...

WINTER:
That... doesn't quite seem right?

MOONWATCHER:
No, I can see it so clearly! Its sad presence, locked in a deathly struggle with its own traumatic past.

Such a morose mind... Such oppressive sorrow...
What horrors has this entity endured to become this damaged?
moonwatcher3.png

WINTER:
No, I think you have the wrong guy. I meant the other one.
The boisterous one with the crown?

MOONWATCHER:
Oh, the loudmouth?

Are you sure you don't want me to do this specter of anguish instead?
He's lived such a storied and tragic life. I'm sure if I probed into his mind, that would--

WINTER:
Stay on task, Moonwatcher!

MOONWATCHER:
Oh all right. I'll do the laughing one.
moonwatcher4.png

MOONWATCHER:

Deep inhale...

Lord of Braggarts. Tyrant of Taunts.
I hear the restless whispers of those that surround you.

They are not happy with what you've been doing.

Ghosts of the valley. To all who bore witness, please show me.
The Blocky Boo... Reveal to me his secret self...
moonwatcher5.png

"A king he is not. A fraud, lesser spirit, borrowing the strength of one above him. The true monarch. The one who will awaken if his imposter is slain.

In life, he used to be... a simple entertainer. A stage fighter, showcasing his martial prowess for the entertainment of the masses. I see him... next to an "Under Construction" sign... Perhaps he fell into a hole and died here, and that is why his spirit haunts the complex. Or it could be something else. He is too protective of this memory, I can't see further.

This guardedness... his compulsion to conceal the past and falsify a title of authority... they are mental weak points. His staging of the death game and shattering of the moon... distractions from these shortcomings. Insecurity. Exposing this insignificance will make him uncertain.

He is weak, but... the crown. The crown protects him. It gives him the power to exist beyond his true status as a lesser spirit. If he were to lose it... his powers would wane.

Though he is protected... a strong flash of light, combined with exposure to a trinity of elements can stun him.

And... there is a connection. The ghost and the ghost researcher... His being is linked to the one you call "Gadd", beyond a mere rivalry."

WINTER:
Is there anything else?

MOONWATCHER:
Just some fragments, and they seem less useful to what you're trying to do.

Like, I think he once played a milk crate in a theater play written by... a... hm.
I think this memory got corrupted when he died, because the image I'm getting is that the playwright was... a walking toilet?

WINTER:
If your readings are that susceptible to corruption, are they even reliable?

MOONWATCHER:
Well, you know, sometimes Nightwing powers are a little more art than science.
But I think there is truth to them, even if they may not be as straight-forward as they seem.

WINTER:
Very well. I will write these down and go over them with Tempest later.
