Awards Killing Game 2x2: Moon of Hope (Game Thread) - Day 1 - Notifiable Incident

So like, the parts in the rafters that are swept clean... What's the general, uh, "texture" of the sweeping, as observed near the sweeping border. Was the dust moved with something bristly like a broom, or solid like a sponge, or kinda raggy and clothy, or does it look like it was washed away by water?

Check the rest of the stuff in the rafters, to make sure the skull hasn't simply been tossed under a different tarp.

Check the terminal for any skull hiding places.

Check why the screens are off now.

Try to find a ghost rat and eat it.
You check the state of the junk, the dust and its associated sweeping in the rafters. You shake some rather thick dust off a nearby tarp covering some of the ancient egypt junk, then perform a few sweeping tests on the floor to confirm which kind of cleaning was used of the one's you listed. You conclude that the floor looks like its been swept by a bristly brush, or broom, leaving faint streaks that a hand cloth wouldn't. It hasn't been mopped, as the floors are not pristine. The dust piles up a bit as you sweep, but you dont notice any piles of dust left near the swept area.

You hunt for the mammoth in the rafters, and don't find it.

You surmise if you strung a large skull up by a mounted pulley system, you could probably dangle a large skull in the roof cavity. Not really anywhere else to hide a skull (large). You look up just to be safe, and find none.

It seems the screens are set to turn off after a while of idling. They were rebooted again in an earlier investigation.

To hunt a ghost rat, first, you require ghost cheese.

Get me that elephant skull people were comparing earlier. If I drag it across the Rafters floor, does it leave similar gouges?
They produce much thicker scratches. You examine the claw marks in more detail and note some of them form clean, parallel scratches in groups of three, definitely more reminiscent of a claw. The tusks are too wide apart to form marks like this.

I've been practicing lately, I want to spit off the Cliffside and see how far it goes. Also see if it hits any mammoth skulls potentially down there.
It's a pretty long drop to the bottom, and the jagged rocks look very unforgiving. If a skull crashed into the rocks, you'd notice some chip damage, which there isn't. You kind of back away, slowly, from the edge of the cliff.

Are the plants in the Greenhouse visibly well-cared-for?
I was wondering if Victor was there the rest of the night.

The plants look very well rested and looked after. I am admittedly quite jealous.

Walk from the ice zone to the desert zone and watch out for anything unusual at all I see on the way. Especially skull-related.

You know what? Walk around the entire building and do that, why not.

Where did Mr. Vigil get his cow horn?
I don't know if those can be found on the premises otherwise, from how it was worded.
If they can be found under the tarps, Fascia and I would like to look and see if there is one missing from the Rafters.

Check if any of the other skeletons in the rafters are conspicuously missing bones, particularly any that have three claws.

If that brings up nothing, compare some three clawed animal bones to the marks.

There's nothing unusual you can tell of at a glance here. The dusty sands and pristine snows are blowing in the wind. You note that most of the footprint paths are faded.

You don't notice any other obvious bones are missing. You do start comparing the claws using a book from the Library and some of the taxidermied animals and bones from the exhibits. You discover they're a good match for crocodiles.

Vigil states he snapped it off the hanging bull head in the Parlor for Portricia's test, and the other horn is present and not missing. It doesn't look like any that might be in the animal bones in the Rafters are capable of producing noise, as they haven't been modified.

Check the Nautical Exhibit for anything crocodile-related, and the same for the icy lake too.
Nothing croccy here.

Is there anything crocodile-related in the Rafters?
Mi spiace, Miss Mona. Fascia and I aren't used to this kind of investigative work.
And it sounds like what happened was painful.

With the jungle exhibit items, yes, a single one, which Sir Ratigan used for testing earlier. You note that none of the claws of the animal bones or taxidermied crocodile are scuffed.

Are there any more of the crocodile-like marks in the surrounding rooms of the rafters? If so, do they seem to make a trail that could be followed any distance?

Could Fascia and I check the Cinder Mine, Maintenance Hub, Garage, Container Yard, and Kitchen for missing or disturbed brooms?
I don't want to split up from her. Even if that takes longer.

The marks are only present in the Rafters, not any of the four surrounding rooms.

You examine the various brooms, such as the stiff brooms in the Kitchen and the heavy soot brooms in the Cinder Mine. You find yourself marveling at how many types of brooms there are.

The Cinder Mine, Garage, Container Yard, and Kitchen brooms show no signs of use.

All the brooms and other sweeping tools in the Maintenance Hub are still there. However, one of the dustpans appears to have been disturbed.

I memchecked yesterday and maybe saw someone running into hollow tree around when I entered armory

[INSERT APPROPRIATE SKETCH HERE]

Take this sketch and the quote, apply it to a page and write the following beneath:

Who was the person Albina saw running towards the hollow tree?

Put the page into my files and use my power.

Ah... Fascia.
She's trembling again.
Per favore, Mr. Tanner. I understand time slips away for most.
Physically, I don't have a problem with it. But, Fascia and I tend to sleep a lot.
We're sleepyheads.

Would you say there was a good amount of time between when you saw Mr. Thanos & Mr. Ghouligrab,
and when you saw Mr. Thanos again at the Basin?

As in, you were occupied for quite a while with the rats, and your new Maestro?

Do a retake of the clock-tripwire trap in the Hollow Tree Heights using Mona's body. Does the clock break upon impact and hit hard enough to KO or even kill? Does it leave a mark? How easy would it be to avoid upon entering the room?

RE: the original trap - Is the clock debris all in a neat pile or somewhat scattered about? Does the debris scatter in the same way when landing upon Mona's head?

You reset the trap roughly how Coral described it, using the stake and wire thats already here, and KBB hands you yet another one-of-a-kind clock to complete the clock trap, then have Mona "walk" through it.

If Mona were here, she'd probably say that it felt more like a KO than a Kill, from experience, and it leaves a nice bruise and some blood from the glass shattering. It lands somewhat differently compared to the other test Lee did earlier.

Can we use a darklight torch to see if the remaining parts of the mammoth skeleton react?

Also, a lot of a longshot, is there any chance Mona might know what happened to her helmet?

None of the bones react.

Mona's composing herself, having been found haunting a suit of armor in the Guard Hall, but she mumbles that she can't remember where she lost it, or anything from the previous night, but knowing herself, she takes a guess it probably blew off with the force of the explosion, maybe out an open door.
