But yeah, aside from in-thread-joke-based cameos, I mainly choose based on recognizability (Gamefreak, SonicMario), continuity (appear once, appear multiple times for me), and simplicity (BMB, Lario, SLNO). If I could, I would have liked to have more in the party, but group shots take a hell of a long time to draw so the number of bodies is limited, plus I only have so many marker colours at my disposal - although I have more now than I did a week ago, so there is hope for more cameos on my end, should the story allow for it. And really, the flow of the story, above all else, is what ultimately drives cameo recruitment. Like, I brought 876 in solely to get my hands on that gun - I'm still not even sure how it turned into him becoming a secondary character, but that's the joy of improv. So yeah, don't anyone take it personally if you do or do not get a cameo: it's just business.
