I made that mistake with the documentary DVD disk that came with the Mario All-Stars 30th Anniversary Edition for the Wii back in the day, since I thought it was a compilation of all mainline Mario games up until that point. They should definitely have added a warning on the DVD box to not insert it into your Wii for restless youngsters with nary a care.
