Yeah, I can imagine British cities aren't the cleanest around given the industries that are housed in that country.

Yeah, I mean I really wanted to like the city, and don't get me wrong, I have seen some cool stuff here, but I've seen some pretty filthy stuff too lol

You've got a point that cities do always tend to be filthy. But I've been to several major cities before, and not once did I see the kind of gross atrocities that I've seen in the streets of London. Even the richest neighborhoods smell like sewage and cigarette smoke, and there's often, uh, stuff on the sidewalks.
