I just think and write whatever sounds interesting

I usually think of ideas that sound unique and interesting. But I also do research on things that are new to me, so that I can watch or play things I've would've never tried before. If I'm researching something I'm already familiar with, there might be parts I haven't experienced yet, like newer/older versions, episodes I haven't seen, or licensed media. Research helps me think up ideas for crossovers or bringing in certain characters I like. If I don't do it, I might get certain things wrong, and that's never a good feeling to have.
