3DS just got an update and something seems fishy

3ds just went from 7.2.x to 8.0.0

it states that it's just a normal stability update, but after all the maintenance i'd like to think something is up

whether that be a new virtual console platform, better connectivity with the wii u, idk

speculaaaaaaaaaate
 
If it isn't removal of region-lock, a proper account system, and crossbuy with Wii U, then I don't care what it is.

Looks like that last line is the only real difference between the last one and this one.

But the thing is, stability updates don't usually update to a complete new version number.

Anyways, remember the big streetpass mii plaza update? it was preceded by a system update that updated to a new version number but seemed to do nothing.
