Last night, while I was fixing up the 3rd floor in Princess Peach Showtime!, I decided to battle against Purrjector Cat. I found the fight to be a little difficult, since you have to get a bomb towards the middle while avoiding his attacks. However, after dying around two-three times, the game showed me this screen that said:
Thinking that this would warp me back to the boss for another try, I clicked Yes. But after my selection, I warped back to the theater and got access to the fourth floor soon after. In spite of my progress, I didn't feel like I earned it, so I wondered if anyone else encountered this screen while fighting not only Purrjector Cat, but also the other bosses. Maybe if you die a certain amount, this is what happens to ensure those who struggle still get to move on and see the rest of the game. The wiki doesn't have info on this, and I haven't heard anyone talk about it, so this seems perplexing to me.
