Yet another thing to keep in mind, micro SD cards are less usually supported in computers, so I'd advice getting one with an adaptor.

also I never actually plug my 3ds sd cards into anything ((other than the wii u))
 
Will it take forever to transfer from the old 3DS to the new one?
 

Goes over the whole process, apparently you need additional equipment (a screwdriver, etc.) which is kind of eh.

Don't panic if your games are not there right away, the data shows up after transfer. Also, "the save data could not be recovered from backup" does not mean your saves are gone.

And yes, I did pick Option 3.
 
person who's getting me a free new 3ds xl ordered it about half an hour ago

should be here tomorrow or wednesday (did one day shipping, but site only ships on same day if ordered before 5pm)

honestly though there are people here that are at least stupid enough to not understand that the wii u is not a wii
 
so a kid in my school got this and i tried it out

freaked out at first because i couldn't find where the cartridge slot was

the extra shoulder buttons don't click too much and the nub did not work at all like i imagined and just felt uncomfortable to use

the improved 3d was okay, i guess, but i had never really found a problem using the 3d on the original 3ds anyway

i didn't really notice any significant changes in performance

overall, i... wasn't terribly blown away by it. it's an improvement, but until they get *New* New Super Mario Bros on here i don't feel very compelled to buy it

i could just buy that for the wii. i don't see the point in getting a new console for it
