Splatoon

thanks for the spoiler

Toadbert, have you tried resetting the router/modem? Can you connect to Miiverse or other online stuff on the Wii U? You can call Nintendo too because I heard they can help figure out the problem too.

I borrowed my friend's Squid Girl amiibo and did all the challenges. I absolutely hate the Charger...

can someone give me a review of this game because i'm currently debating on if i should get it or not

I did actually get to play a few complete games last night after I posted that

I don't really understand it but I did notice my irc's lag meter also rose up when splatoon began to lag

All other online things work, it's just splatoon that seems to destroy my bandwidth for a bit, from which it has a 50/50 chance of recovering from

Will probably try resetting stuff next time I play

that's strange, i never have any sort of connection issues with this game. i had one time where the match wouldn't start but i just rejoined the lobby and it was fine

I've had the purgatory lobby once too

I tried a online 2v2 with strangers in smash and had the exact same problem

No error code, just a message saying there's a connection problem and then I'm dropped

Might have to get help, or maybe it's a thing that will get patched

I like how I decided to try the charger in practice mode and was like "I'm invincible" then get into battle and was like "this is the worse thing ever for me". I don't know how Cirdec is so great at it. I'm best with the splattershot items.

I do hate how sometimes the battle pairings makes it just basically impossible for you to win. I mean, there was one time where I was facing against a team of 4 rollers that had the kraken special ability. And it was on the map that is like roller heaven (the very wide and open one where it's best for rollers and chargers).

It's also very obnxious when you jump to a follower comrades location and just as you land you are splattered by someone, like what the fuck? I mean god, I wish they would give like a 2 second shield when you land so players don't pull that shit on you. It irritated me so badly.

I also finished story mode, and I really enjoyed the final boss. It is definitely a boss that keeps you on your toes, which I thought made it very fun. I got all the little story tibdit scrolls and I really like the background story of everything.

Honestly, I feel like this game sold really well. I wouldn't be surprised if it hits 1.5 millions sales this month. It feels like it's selling really well.

and thus, in an alternate universe where 2 second shields exist in splatoon:

Yeah if you got a shield you could just warp to your teammates every 2 seconds and have the shield forever.
Sure you wouldn't be getting as much ink down but it would be completely broken otherwise. Snipers could just charge, shoot, warp to each other, repeat, foreverially staying in good spots while being literally invincible.
You need to be a little more careful about who you warp to. Try to take into account whether or not they're safe as much as you're taking into account how much you think you can get done once you're there.
If you struggle with it that much I'm pretty sure you can get clothes with buffs that are effective right when you spawn, but I haven't looked into that area of the game too thoroughly so don't take my word for it.

There's an ability specifically on shoes called "Stealth Jump" that hides the marker from enemies so they just don't stay there constantly shooting and kill you instantly. I'm not embarrassed to admit that I am a "jump camper" and hold down the ZR button in front of the indicator to instantly kill the enemy.

I currently have a pair of shoes on my character with that ability.

I do that too. I mean, what else are you going to do when you see it, run away and pretend you have no idea this kid is gonna show up and start messing up your turf?
This is a cutthroat game and you can't be afraid to use dirty tactics. Especially on Arowana Mall.

Looks like the shop that I preordered Splatoon from already receive their copies. Now all I need to do is to wait for mine to arrive. Since I will be playing about a week later than the release date, would I be left out or am I OK?

Thanks for reading.

i can't find most of the sunken scrolls, im so bad at this

I got them all, and I had to play three levels over to find them. I think the best thing you can do is to make sure you check all the grates because sometimes they are below them and you just got to turn into a squid to reach it. There are some where you have to change the camera angle to see the side of the building and see a secret area lower. Once you move to a new area, you can check the surroundings and see areas you've been to and areas you haven't gotten to yet; use that time to see if there were any secret areas that you missed. A big thing is that usually it'll require you to use the gimmick of the level to reach it, such as having to swim jump off the spinning platforms or use the platform with the fans and taking a path that is only available for a few seconds.

It's just very annoying when they are later in the level because I tend to spend a lot of time just checking everywhere I can and freaking out that I missed it somehow.

After a week from its release date, I got this game today! Unfortunately not much time to play, but I'll probably go for a random online match to see how I fare!

Thanks for reading.
