Anyway summary of the first round: Australia.

Qualifying
Kaumi Kobayashi managed to get the Caterham out of Q1 and into Q2. Both Lotuses went out in Q1. In Q2, big names went out, Jenson Button got 11th. Kimi Raikkonen crashed into the wall and got 12th, and due to the crash, yellow flags went up meaning the World Champion, Sebastian Vettel, only got 13th. In Q3, the 19 year old rookie driver for Toro Rosso, Danil Kvyat qualified 8th, whilst McLaren rookie, Kevin Magnussen got 4th. Nico Rosberg got third, new Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo got second, and pole went to Lewis Hamilton. Both Q2 and Q3 were done with wets, although Riccardo did do it on intermediates.

Race
Romain Grosjean started from the pit lane, as did Max Chilton, and I think Jules Bianchi did as well. There were two formation laps, after the first start got cancelled meaning that only 57 laps of the race had to be completed. On Lap 1, Kaumi Kobayashi and Felipe Massa collided in the first corner, after the Caterham locked up and both went out, there was an incident later in the lap, not sure who was involved though. Pole-sitter Lewis Hamilton also didn’t fare well, as he was overtaken in the first corner by both Nico Rosberg and Daniel Ricciardo. In Lap 4 Lewis Hamilton had to retire the car to save the engine which had had problems from the start. World Champion Sebastian Vettel retired the car on Lap 5, he had problems with ERS throughout the race. On Lap 10, Valteri Bottas, who had been doing quite well despite having started from 15th due to a gearbox change, hit the wall and damaged the back-right tyre, with it later falling off and landing in the middle of the track, this caused the safety car to come out on Lap 12. Bottas made it back to the pits and then continued racing. Race leader Nico Rosberg pitted during the safety car period, as did second place Daniel Ricciardo and third place Kevin Magnussen, followed by many others meaning that Rosberg retained first place. The safety car was called in at the end of Lap 15. Due to the safety car, Jenson Button was able to gain three places as he had pitted before it had been called out. Valteri Bottas was also able to get back into the fray. Marcus Ericsson in the other Caterham had oil pressure problems and had to retire the car on Lap 29. Pastor Maldonado retired his Lotus on Lap 31. Light rain was reported on Lap 37, though it wasn’t expected to get wet. Race leader Nico Rosberg then made his second pit stop on Lap 38, and he managed to retain his lead. On Lap 45, the other Lotus, driven by Romain Grosjean pulled off and retired. It was speculated that both Lotuses had had electrical issues. Not when sure when it happened, but Jules Bianchi retired from the race at some point. Nico Rosberg finished in first place, with Daniel Ricciardo getting second in his home grand prix, and becoming the first Aussie to get a podium at the home grand prix. Rookie Kevin Magnussen finished off the podium in third place, Magnussen’s teammate Jenson Button claimed fourth, Fernando Alonso got fifth. Valteri Bottas clawed his way back to sixth, Kimi Raikkonen on his return to Ferrari got eighth and Danil Kvyat became the youngest person to score points as he got tenth.

After-race
Daniel Ricciardo was disqualified after it was discovered he had breached Article 5.1.4, stating thatFuel mass flow must not exceed 100kg/h

Missed last race due to being elsewhere, so qualifying is a rough cut and paste job from Wikipedia, will also cover Round 3 in this post.

Summary of Round 2: Malaysia

Qualifying
There was quite a lot of rain during the session. Lewis Hamilton got pole and current World Champion Sebastian Vettel got second.

In Lap 1 Jules Bianchi and Pastor Maldonados collided on a corner and both span off, they both continued, Bianchi later got a 5 second stop and go penalty on Lap 7, before having to retire his car later on in the race due to brakes, and Maldonado was told that he needed to retire the car on the same lap. On Lap 2, Kimi Raikkonen's tyre went after a puncture due to a minor collision with Kevin Magnussen, Magnussen was given a 5 second stop and go penalty on Lap 11. On Lap 4 it was reported that Nico Rosberg was struggling with his rear tyres. Lewis Hamilton, the race leader, pitted on Lap 15 and he was overtaken by Nico Hulkenberg, however Hamilton passed him later on in Lap 16. On Lap 20 John Eric Verenge retired because of a power unit problem. On Lap 30 is was reported that there was rain in the area, with threat of rain reported on Lap 31. Hamilton made his second pit stop on Lap 34 and this time he retained his lead, Adrian Sutil also developed electrical issues on the same lap and his car stopped near the pit straight. On Lap 35 Kimi Raikkonen reported that there was rain around the back of the circuit, though this could have been an error as pit reporters couldn't see any. On Lap 37 Esteban Gutierrez retired the car after a gearbox issue. On Lap 41, after his third pit stop Daniel Riccardio had an issue with a wheel not being seated properly, on Lap 43 his front wing slightly fell off. On Lap 46 Daniel Riccardio got a 10 second stop and go penalty after his unsafe release from the pits. Lewis Hamilton came in for his final pit stop on Lap 52, where he retained his lead yet again, Daniel Riccardio retired his car on the same lap.
