Syobon's Action 3D

Re: Cat Mario 3D

These traps reflect the original game, actually.
And the fact you die in that Pipe, is because that's also a trap.

Re: Cat Mario 3D

Who said the original game was Super Mario Bros.?
Who said it's even Mario-related?

Here's the original game:
That's where I've got the idea from.

What the fuck did I just watch?

Also the game is looking great Yami.

Re: Cat Mario 3D

And the fun part is, the player is from Hong Kong, which is part of China, even though he currently lives in Australia.
I doubt they could call that "Foreigners", but I trust you on that.

New Information revealed about Cat Mario 3D:
http://www.cw-games.org/articles.html/_/news/en/pcmaclinux-cat-mario-3d-ships-with-16-level-r962
It's all about the new features, and it announces a playable Beta, for later this year.

He's doing the Production stuff, and helps me with Programming sometimes.
Production is simply telling us where to place everything, and configure all the shit together.

Well, while this Project is still not dead, it did get some kind of slow down.
The reason is, Chimpuzzle Pro is an officially developed game, while Syobon's Action 3D (formally called 'Cat Mario 3D') is just a side Project of mine (and 2 others).
For this reason, CPP got more attention lately.

But no worries, we didn't cancel the game.
However, we did change the Scope by limiting the game to the original 4 Levels.
Implementing 16 more would make us delay the Deadlines forever, and making only 1 Level fully functional is already a lot of work.

It's not exactly what I wanted to see working, but:

I won't release it on the Wii U, for possible Copyright reasons.
It's still awesome to see it running on a Wii U, though.

I can't send a copy, you won't be able to deploy it to your own Wii U, anyway.

this is amazing

i remember spending a whole summer day trying to beat the original cat mario
man now that is a life accomplishment

It turned out, that the Wii U being very powerful was a lie.
You probably all have seen the first Level, right?
This is what the Wii U can run without Crashing, at maximum:

Could be.
Or it's because the Platforms are all separate pieces.
I guess I should play around with this shit more often.

Here's the problem: Nothing gets drawn off-screen.
If you mean stuff like Bullets, they get Instantiated.
But at some point, I either get a way around it, or Unity3D gets improved (after all, Unity3D for Wii U still in Alpha).
