Greatest Mario Kart?

After reading the post of the new Mario Kart being announced, was wondering what peoples thought was the best Mario Kart. IMO Double Dash on the GC was perfect.
 
Sadly, I've only played two: Double Dash and Wii. I thought Mario Kart Wii was better. Honestly, Double Dash is a bit overrated. It was alright, but nothing spectacular. I'm hooked on MKW right now despite the obvious flaws. It's a great game.

This with Mario Kart: Double Dash!! is my answer.
 
I would say:

1. DS
2. 7
3. Wii
4. Double Dash
5. Super
6. 64
7. Super Circuit
 
To me the best was Double Dash. It was the most dynamic.

For me, it would go like this:

1) Mario Kart: Double Dash!!
2) Mario Kart Wii
3) Mario Kart 64
4) Mario Kart 7
5) Mario Kart DS
6) Mario Kart Super Circuit
7) Super Mario Kart
 
Double dash is pretty much the only one I enjoy so I'm sure you can see where I'm going with this.
 
My preferences:

1. Mario Kart 64
2. Mario Kart Wii
3. Mario Kart 7
4. Mario Kart: Double Dash
5. Mario Kart DS
6. Super Mario Kart
7. Mario Kart: Super Circuit

Out of the one's i've played I'd rate them like this.

I've never played Double Dash or Super Circuit.

Never knew Super Mario 64 was a Mario Kart game
 
If I put then in order :
1. Mario kart 7
2. Mario kart DS
3. Mario kart 64
4. Mario kart double dash
5. Mario kart Wii
6. Mario kart super circuit
 
I could never pick just one...Lessee, I've played Wii, Double Dash!!, Super Circuit, 7, GP and a bit of the first one on an emulator. I'll have to say Wii or Double Dash!!. 7 comes in close after that.
