Thank you Nintendo, how nice of you. It has always been my life long dream to be able to race as a metallic version of Peach.

The direct honestly either made me bored or cringe at times. The 3 minute trailer was what I really got out of it.

My Impressions:

THIS GAME IS EPIC!!!

Baby Rosalina - NICE
Pink Gold Peach - Wow Nintendo. Another recolour of Peach. Just wow.[/sarcasm]

Wii U Rainbow Road - SPECTACULAR!!!

I know right I just couldn't wait to play as any of the other unique characters like the big boo wearing the crown, the big piranha plant, the baby monkey, the fat bee, the old toad, the slightly smaller monkey who wears a hat, or perhaps the monkey with sunglasses or even the monkey wearing a pink hat (you know the unique characters of the series). And I mean damn I guess this means that we wont be able to drive in circles or lines with any of those unique characters and all their beloved special abilities that always appear in this go kart games

I'd... keep your hopes low. Unless they decide to keep them a secret until it's released or make them DLC, I can't imagine them getting in at this point.

GameXplain has videos of all the new courses (except maybe Rainbow and Bowser's, I might have skipped them). Yoshi Valley looks sweet.

On the positive side though, Rainbow Road looks fucking epic, I get to choose from one of 10 free games (yeah it's actually 10 in germany so yay), Voice Chat in multiplayer lobbys, and Rainbow Road looks fucking epic.

EDIT: Also I got ninja'd 9 times, wtf.

Oh yeah and in case nobody has noticed, I think the final retro course is DS Wario Stadium if I am not mistaken.

Also, along with Smash Bros, my hype for this game increased tenfold.

It's awesome, but I just...

I swear, if it has to do with Rosalina, it apparently will happen. Like, Rosie being in Smash was such a slim to none chance, and Baby Rosalina ever being made was even more slim to none, but both of those things happened...

while i thought the roster this time round isn't that great, it makes up by having pretty much everything else looking amazing.
