Pokemon X and Pokemon Y

The second generation only had 100 new Pokemon, so who's to say that the sixth generation will end up that way too. After all, the new region did feature the older Pokemon, such as Kirlia, Golurk, and Mienfoo.

I think it's safe to say that Gen VI is going to be a new Gen II. Think about it. Gen V was considered a rebirth of the series in the form of introducing the most new Pokémon of all generations and not letting you catch older Pokémon until you beat the Champion (which is something I really liked, as the game felt actually fresh). I see this Gen having only 100 new Pokémon, and some of them will be evolutions and pre-evolutions of Gen V's Pokémon and even older Pokémon (for God's sake, I don't know how, Game Freak, but make Alomomola become Luvdisc's evolution). I can see Farfetch'd evolving into a Fighting/Flying typed Pokémon and maybe Stunfisk will also get an evolution.

Everyones going with firefox.. I'm getting the mole with grass on his head.
Looking more forward to r&s's remake though :P

don't see what all the fuss is with fennekin, we all know he'll eventually turn into a fire/fighting type (which, btw, I see no problem with), his design is just as cool as chespin's and froakie's, and I think that they're all going to end up looking pretty damn cool in the end

I also don't get why people are always moaning about how pokemon look bad and shit, just be happy you've got them

except from Magikarp, it's ok to hate him

The thing is though, many players are getting quite tired with the Fire/Fighting starters, and want a different type combination to be utilized for the next Fire-type starter.

Aw come on, not ANOTHER Fire/Fighting. We've had THREE in a row. Two was acceptable, but 3 was a joke, and 4 is just an insult. They might as well say "You know what? FUCK YOU, from now on all Fire starters are going to be Fire/Fighting and you will deal".

Charizard can sweep the floors against all of them lol. Maybe fennekin will be Fire/Electric .. because you know.. that's what gets it runnin'~

uh no he doesn't. All they have to do is use stone edge and he's finished, plus inferape is faster, and blaziken has speed boost, so lol.

then again charizard can't survive for long against anything.

Fire/Electric being doubly weak to Ground though... And it's not like Earthquake is not the most popular move out there...

Make it a floating plasma fox and give it levitate :smug:

You do realize that Stealth Rock heavily murders Charizard, right? Of course, Volcarona is also heavily weak to Stealth Rock too, but it managed to stay in OU, despite that fatal flaw. Likewise, Ho-oh also hates Stealth Rock, but it's still ranked a uber.

Anyway, a Fire/Psychic-type starter would really be a nice change, especially considering that Victini is an event Pokemon only, and Zen Mode Darmanitan is a huge waste to even be using.

Maybe as a hidden ability, but we all know it's going to get Blaze for its primary ability.

Stealth Rock: Like Spikes, but damages Pokemon based on how weak they are to Rock
Volcarona: Powerful Fire/Bug fire moth
OU: Top Pokemon tier (besides legendaries)
Victini: Fire/Psychic legendary (Kinda like the Gen 5 Mew or Celebi)
Zen Mode Darmanitan: A fire type that has an ability that makes it Fire/Psychic when it's under 50% HP.

You're welcome. I know you could have googled it, but, I dunno. I wanted to help.

Stealth Rock is more than useful, it's too overpowered.
That's ridiculous a single attack make some pokémons completely unusable.

I completely agree with this. I think they should nerf Stealth Rock. How is it possible a single move can define the utility of a Pokémon in battle?

Unlike Spikes, Stealth Rock does take into account type matchups. As long as your Pokemon resist the Rock-type, Stealth Rock isn't going to hamper them much. Sadly, only four Pokemon have a double resistance to Rock-type attacks.

At this point, the problem isn't necessarily Stealth Rock, but how the Pokemon can cope with Stealth Rock. Magic Bounce can send Stealth Rock right back at the attacker, and anyone who has Magic Guard is completely unaffected by entry hazards.

Still, a single move shouldn't hinder any Pokémon that much. It's unfair. If anything, I think Stealth Rock should work just like Spikes, without taking into account type match-ups.

You need to remember though that Flying-types and Pokemon who have Levitate or Magic Guard are not affected by Spikes. Likewise, those same types and abilities, along with the Poison-type and Steel-type, are not affected by Toxic Spikes.

Stealth Rock affects everyone, except for Magic Guard users, so at least it stops the Flying-types and the Levitate Pokemon from trying to use the Focus Sash; something that Spikes and Toxic Spikes can't do without Gravity. Likewise, Skarmory's Sturdy ability would be neutralized by Stealth Rock too.
