Yes, that is true, but the details alone won't really do much to hold up the comic if the big thing is slowly falling apart everywhere.

You kind of need a coherent, general plot which you can put the finer pieces around. Otherwise you don't have a comic, you have a lore book.

No, I don't think you can say that. Hamsteak, while also being a little loopy occasionally, used to have properly established plot elements, a properly introduced villain, and a goal on a scale that was possible to care about.

Either that, or it really did have nothing of that sort and I was in my own personal trickster mode the whole time while reading the comic.

An affectionate alternative name for the comic which a few people use on chat.

i'm just going to go ahead and say that i did actually find it a funny way to laugh at the response(s) to Trickster Mode Jane, but whatever

And now Jake and Jane are going to make out.

It's going to be The Empire Strikes Back all over again.

But they're not siblings. They're clones of themselves and only themselves, and that means they're genetically diverse.

I'm sorry I feel it is slowly turning into 'Hussie trolls his fans party' rather than the story it had pre-scratch

What webcomic have you been reading? Hussie's been trolling his fans since AT LEAST act 4.

Have we read the same comic? The ancestors are clones of themselves and only themselves. Then two descendants are made by combining the genetic material of the parents. Pretty much the same thing happens in biological reproduction, only less artificially. The result of this is siblings.

The descendants originate from the same combination of genetic material, and are therefore akin to brother and sister genetically. There is really no way this constellation can be called genetically diverse.

EDIT:
Ok, I was under the assumption that with the Scratch, the whole ectobiology thing would have been reversed as well, but Marowak just told me that apparently, all the players were created pre-scratch and only the destination of the player meteors got changed.

This is stupid.

Am I the only one that finds the Trickster Mode shit really, really disturbing?
You'd be insane if you didn't.
Ikr, I preffered it as just the funny CTRL+T thing rather than swamping the comic as it is so creepy.

It is possible Hussie realized that this excess teen romance between characters we barely know is doing no favors for the plot, and he is using Trickster Mode to conveniently dispose of it all at once, so we can get back to the good stuff.

On the other hand if he realized that, him being Hussie, he would probably add even more awkward teen romance to tease the fans, because that's kinda what he does.

On the third hand, it is absolutely futile to try and guess what Hussie is thinking, as he usually knows what you are thinking and will do the opposite of it, except when you are thinking that he is thinking about what you are thinking, at which point he will be unpredictably predictable. So I have no idea why I even bother trying to make sense of him.

Thing is, if Trickster Mode is used as a device to unclutter the comic and get everything back on track, then I guess I am willing to excuse it.
