The sun looms low at the fringe of the white-and-brass sky, peeking over the horizon as if somewhat apprehensive about starting this day. It is early in the morning, or at least you think it is. Telling the time of day turns out to be surprisingly difficult when your entire world is rendered in three colors only.
As the landscape becomes illuminated by the first rays of dawn, a travel bus follows the lone, snaking road towards a most fateful destination.
"Heyyy there chums, it's me! Soccer Dad Vector, the Luggage Collector!
I'm sworn to drive for you. The bus. I'm the bus driver, yeah!
I'd just like to thank you all on behalf of the travel agency for joining us on our trip.
as well as go over some things the company wants me to discuss with you!
Now as you all are aware, a long time ago, an epic battle between gods and kings and snakes and mushrooms or whatever caused most of the world's population to transmogrify into lizard creatures and various other reptiles. I don't know why the agency wrote this into the introduction speech, considering this has allegedly been the status quo for the last 1000 years and we should thus all be aware of it already.
You may all be eagerly anticipating what we are going to do on this journey. Or not. Frankly I'd be concerned if you booked seats for this expensive trip and had no idea what it was for or where you were even going. So just to refresh your memory, we are headed for a mountain where an ancient artifact of great power was recently discovered to have landed.
They say it could be the scepter of the legendary King of Sunset Gold himself, which he once wielded in yet another epic battle for the fate of the world. These things sure keep happening a lot. It is said to be a vessel that once held all the colors of the world and has the ability to rewrite reality itself.
You are probably all familiar with this old legend already, so I won't bore you with more of the details. If you haven't read the historical accounts, I'm sure you've at least seen the popular anime adaptation they came out with a few months ago. You know the one.
Anyway, I'm just a big stupid alligator who recently got divorced by his wife, so I'm doing this gig because I need to pay off the second mortgage on my house and it's the only job my drop-out ass was able to get!
Again, why is this in the official introduction speech? I didn't write this...
I'm not married, and I have a bachelors degree in social engineering for god's sake!
Anyway, considering we still have 200 miles to go, why don't we pass the time by playing a round of Scribble like our fore-bearers used to do in the old days? I trust you're all familiar with the rules: Square canvas, three colors only, no high-tech bullshit.
I promise to drive really carefully so you don't get jostled too much.
Let me go set up the brackets for you. I can probably do that with one hand and still drive with the other.

You know, as long as anyone can remember, my family has followed a long heritage of fools, scamps, and buffoons. From my grandparents to my parents to me, it's all we've known. Every generation so far has continued the tradition, and my generation has been no different.
Believe me, I feel an attachment to my craft. I've become celebrated for my performances, and I really do find joy in bringing smiles to people's faces. There are fewer delights in the world more whimsical than being the Birthday Clown.
And yet... A story surrounding my family intrigues me. For years now, I have been told a similar legend of how my ancestor once ruled over his own province, one where his people unlocked his greatest power, before he was cast away for the humility he faced. My grandma swears the story to be true, though my parents wish me to take it with a grain of salt.

Just some more general primers and info for your benefit because I may have glossed over some of these points.
- The theme revealed in the thread ("Travel" for round 1) is meant to give you a vague hint towards the set of individual prompts for the round from which yours will be selected. It is possible to incorporate both the overarching theme and your personal prompt into your scribble, but ultimately, the prompt you get is what matters. If you have an idea that fits your prompt but doesn't necessarily fit the theme, that is also valid.
- If you submitted your scribble, but notice you made a mistake, you can re-submit as long as you haven't exceeded the time limit. Even if you have to send me your image 10 times, that's fine; you have unlimited corrections until time runs out. I will use the last image you sent within the time limit.
- You can give your scribble a name when you submit it. If you do so, I will put it underneath the image when it gets displayed at the end of the draw phase. Names can be used to give additional context to your image, or just to make a joke. Some people like that.
- Please keep the length of those names reasonable and don't submit a whole paragraph,

Here we are, at the foot of Mount Touchdown.
I've read in the brochure that this peak used to have no name because nobody could think of one. Until recently, that is; guess that artifact landing on top of it really put a lid on THAT stalemate! HA!
Breathe in that air, folks! That's the smell of providence!
Smells kind of like diesel; I hope the gas tank didn't rupture on the way here, otherwise the trip back is gonna be an adventure too.
Now that everyone who booked a ticket for this trip is definitely here, let me share some trivia with you folks!
They say that, despite apparently not being worthy of a proper name, this place is very historically significant and sacred. To climb to the top, one must pass some kind of trial to prove ones worth, whatever that means.
