Hello, 'Shroom readers, and welcome to a new community event crafted by your Core Staff: Blooper Race!

Indeed, as you may have read in the section here, we are collaborating with the esteemed Isle Delfino Blooper Racing Board to host our very own Blooper Race as we are celebrating the 20th anniversary of Super Mario Sunshine! A unique activity for all of us as we are enjoying the sunshine of Isle Delfino.

We are looking for sixteen Bloopers that will compete in the circuit for a chance to win a specially-made Shine Sprite and a surprise vacation for their coach. Sounds interesting, isn't it? Signing up is pretty simple actually. All you need to do is to submit your Blooper in the following thread here with:

• Their name
• Their racing number
• An image of their appearance
• A brief bio of your Blooper introducing them to us (Optional)

Now come in, and show us who should take part in the Legion of Blooper Heroes: Masters of the Race! TV show that will probably appear soon in a TV Tomorrow of your local Fake News channel.

Take note, that each user is allowed one Blooper submission, with a limit of sixteen participants. If we are exceeding this number of submissions, we will randomly select who will get to take part in the race.

This game should still follow the standard forum and wiki rules. Any inappropriate content will get removed and might ultimately prevent you from taking part of this event.

Bio: Raised by Pearl, Inkling Blooper is treated like a princess, but acts like a real competitor when on the race track. Don't let her pretty looks fool you, cause this Blooper not only has speed, but can also shoot coloured ink just like the Inklings and Octolings do! Pearl hopes that her prized treasure will won this once in a lifetime race, as she trained her very hard for it. If she wins, Pearl will gladly invite Marina to go on the surprise vacation with her and give Inkling Blooper a shiny silver tiara and sparkly platinum dress to wear for the occasion. Let's give a cheer for Inkling Blooper!

Hi! I got a special Blooper for this race. This Blooper is rather unpronounceable, but with a little practice, you'll be able to call them by their name in any time!

Their name is ([@#!♫[%66™.com) parentheses included, don't forget it; but you may call them "BMW's favorite Blooper". They don't mind. I apologize for the missing textures on their face, but I figure a little file misplacement won't make a difference in this race!

Their racing number is 37, a number that is quite ugly as well.

They have a tattoo on their left arm, as tattoos symbolize raw strength or something like that. They have company logos of the most prestigious cars, which is a sign of good quality race specs. They can tell you a thing or two about color theory or character design, but I suppose all of that will fly over your head. And flying over your head is a good thing, since that invokes fast imagery.

I do apologize if this Blooper has to be used in any future drawing, but I assure you it looks better if you attempt and fail at recreating this beast.

Muahahahahaha. I guess.

MEANWHILE SOMEWHERE IN A SCENIC BEACH HOUSE THAT MASTER OF DEPRAVITY PHINEAS J. SHOE AND HIS OVERLOOKED ASSISTANT ROSE ENJOY A RELAXING VACATION.
WE CUT INTO PHINEAS J. SHOE RELAXING IN A HAMMOCK WHEN SUDDENLY ROSE BURSTS IN WITH A FLIER THAT JUST MIGHT CHANGE EVERYTHING.
"Boss Boss look" Rose says awakening Phineas.
"What have you woken me for you fool" a groggy Phineas says.
"LOOK BOSS THE SHROOM IS HOSTING A BLOOPER RACE" Rose says excitingly handing Phineas a flier.
"Let me see that" Phineas says reading the flier "Hmm BLOOPER RACE, JUNE 14, BIG CASH PRIZE" he exclaims.
"Actually sir I don't think there's a cash pri-" Rose attempts to explain to Phineas before quickly being cut off.
"QUICKLY ROSE TO THE LAB WE SHALL CREATE THE GREATEST BLOOPER THE WORLD HAS EVER SEEN HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA" the maniacal doctor says.
"Uh sir we don't have a lab here this is a rental" Rose gently explains.
"NO LAB? NOOOOOOOOOO MY PLANS THEY'RE RUINED! NOW HOW WILL WIN THE BLOOPER RACE" Phineas cries.
"Well sir we're on a beach perhaps we could fish for one?" Rose suggests.
"OF COURSE FISHING COME ROSE WE MUST BUY FISHING EQUIPMENT TO SECURE WHAT IS OURS." Phineas yells taking off towards the market district.

IN THE MARKET DISTRICT OUR HEROES (?) ARE SUDDENLY APPROACHED BY A MYSTERIOUS VOICE
"Psst hey kid" The voice calls out.
"Who me" Phineas says pointing to himself.
"Yeah you and the plant come here" says the voice.
"Boss I don't think we should-" Rose begins to say before realizing Phineas had already entered the ally.
The figure being the voice is a Manta Ray who gestures Phineas to a booth.
"Heard you were looking for an aquatic creature well look no further then my Aquatic Wonders superstore" he says placing fish bowl with a medium sized Cheep-Cheep on it.
"Look at this fish you ever seen a fish this good? How much you looking to spend" the ray asks.
"Hmmm that is a pretty good fish" Phineas says reaching for his wallet.
"Uh boss we need a Blooper not a Cheep Cheep" Rose reminds the doctor.
"Oh yeah of course. It's bad you don't have a Blooper for sale" a disappointed Phineas says walking away.
Seeing his customer about the leave the Ray lays on the charm "Blooper? Yeah I got a Blooper give me just one second" he says putting the cheep cheep under the booth as he "looks" under the booth for a cheep-cheep.
The ray then places another bowl on the table with an odd looking Blooper on it "See what I tell ya finest Blooper in sea"
Phineas inspects the "Blooper" before telling the Ray "Sir that is A FANTASTIC LOOKING BLOOPER HOW MUCH DO YOU WANT FOR IT?"
"Boss that's clearly a cheep-cheep wearing a poorly made Blooper costume look sir it's even got goggles and a fish body" Rose says trying to prevent Phineas from being ripped off.
Phineas begins to speak before the fast talking salesman tells him "The kid over there has a good eye and he's right this isn't a Blooper it's a Blouper a very rare newly discovered species only located in an isolated cove. The fish body you see serves both the purpose of extra fins that increase it's speed while also camouflaging it against predators. The goggles protect it's eyes from underwater debris"
"You see rose it's not just a Blooper it's an even better Blouper" says an impressed Phineas.
Rose attempts to correct the doctor but is cut off by Phineas "DO YOU THINK I AM A FOOL? DO YOU THINK I COULD BE TRICKED BY SUCH SHENANIGANS?" hearing this Rose decides this isn't an argument he wants to have and lets Phineas pay a large amount of money for the so called Blouper.
"Pleasure doing business with you sir. Remember if you aren't satisfied we've got a negative 1 day return policy" the ray says counting the coins Phineas gave him.
Holding the bowl Phineas exclaims "NOW ROSE WITH OUR NEW BLOUPER WE SHALL DOMINATE THE BLOOPER RACE AND WIN THE BIG CASH PRICE HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA'

Name: Bionic Large Oceanic Organism Potentially Entering Race (B.L.O.O.P.E.R.), though he'll also respond to Bill.

Number: 3 (specifically, pi rounded down)

Bio: Fed up with being quickly and easily defeated, some Bloopers have resorted to physical and technological enhancement in an attempt to become unstoppable. Bill is one such Blooper. Astoundingly, no one told him that Blooper enhancements provide no apparent advantages against other Bloopers. He'll probably be fine.

Name: Rocket Blooper

Bio: This Blooper was created by accident in a lab. The scientist was experimenting with a Rocket Wisp, and a Blooper came out of nowhere and fused with the Wisp, making this creature. It has the combined abilities of a Rocket Wisp and a Blooper.

Bio: Blooper Dasher is a fan of the Yoshi Dashers. Note that the Dash Pepper isn't actually used to make him go fast. It just a symbol that he is fast. But is he the fastest? We will find out in the Blooper Race.

Name: Vampire-Blooper
Number: 1260 A vampire number: contains an even number of digits, the individual digits can be used to multiply to this number, so 1260 = 21 x 60
A Blooper normally found in the deep sea, it is known for having a vampiric look through its spikes and hellish colouration and unsettling glare, but in reality are not as demonic as it sounds and look. In fact, unlike the Blooper who will actively pursue any potential intruders, this one uses its bioluminescence to attract anything, and will try to be in the way of the intruder even though it will not try to chase them if they went past. In case the inspiration is not clear, it's based on the vampire squid.

Stories tell of a young couple who decided to declare their love in the form of a date to a local universal cataclysm. Unfortunately neither of them remembered to bring their supernova-proof spacesuit (thinking the helmet would do) and were roasted to ashes from the waist down.

The newly crowned king heard this tale and sympathised on the pair, having allegedly been borne from love himself. Taking pity, he shed some of his parts and fashioned a life-sustaining mechanism that joined them forever in harmony.

Though they lack limbs and basic motor skills, they can propel themselves at speed through the power of alleged love.

Rookie sensation Lightning McBloop entered the Mushroom Cup unknown, but everyone knows him now. Competing for the Nessieco sponsorship, this one-of-a-kind hotshot Blooper looks to net the Mushroom Cup trophy and race to the top of the league. Sporting the number 95 proudly on his front and a red color scheme, it’s hard not to miss this racer on the track!

A strange fusion between a Blooper and a Mareanie found at the border of Sparkling Waters and the Melemele Sea. It may not be all that fast, but can propel itself along with its poisonous ink- or use it to eliminate some of the competition.

Bio: Formerly a regular Blooper, he was found by Goombuigi while he was fishing in the Mushroom Kingdom. Out of curiosity, Goombuigi fed him a Luigi Candy to test its effects on the Blooper. Although Bloopuigi is stylish, whether he is any faster has remained a mystery thus far.

Hi everyone. I asked around looking for bloopers I could enter into this race, but most of them turned me down, saying cruel and patently untrue things like "I don't wanna join your stupid race" and "This sounds like a pyramid scheme!" and "Uh, I don't actually work here.". Come on, I even offered them 15% of the prize money on top of the honor of getting to race for yours truly in a race sponsored by the most presigious newspaper in town! How could they refuse that? Regardless, I was finally able to get this dope here. I'm... not sure he actually understands what it is he signed up for, but I hope he fulfills your requirements or whatever.

Number: "Oh, that's a fun question! Hmm, I've never thought about it much, but I suppose my favorite number would have to be 89. Now I bet you're wondering why I chose that mysterious number. Well, the mystery is revealed: it's the last two digits of the year I was born! Bet you weren't expecting that! Haha."

Bio: "Ah, you want my life story, huh? Ahhaha, well, I can't say it's anything special, but it's been quite the adventure. I grew up in the suburbs around this area with my mother, my father, my two siblings, and our dog Snoopy. Heh, I always thought that was a clever name. You know, like the dog from Peanuts? Anyway, I had all sorts of crazy adventures as a kid, like playing rugby, attending PTA meetings, and exploring the deep recesses of the section of our home street our mother said we were allowed to go to. Eventually, I grew up, got my Bachelor's degree in Innovation and Technology from my alma mater Relatively Prestigious University (go Tigers!), and started working my current job in the Typical Office Corporation. My passions include hiking, getting my sweet morning joe, yoga, gardening, and seeing what hilarious new comedy specials they have on my favorite streaming services!
