Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games: Sport or Spin-off?

Last night, I reminded everyone that we must include it in the awards.

Since it's a crossover game, I'm thinking it should be a candidate for favorite spin-off game, to replace Mario & Wario.

I feel it should be under sports. It's obviously sports-themed, and you actually have to take part in this one, rather than mashing buttons.

Maybe it's both. The Mario series originally consisted of platforming games, but somehow the series expanded itself into other genres we all like. :3

I read for the sequel where they go to the Winter Olymic Games, despite the acceptional sales of the original game (10 Million), the game developers have taken the multitude of criticisms to heart. They really want to make a better game.
