You know, that's exactly on-spot for what i'd do.

Also, Lol I laughed at when I asked "Partners in Time?" for best Mario game

M19: Favourite Actor

Welcome to M19: Favourite Actor! This is a very special presentation as I've just been sent a few EXCLUSIVE!! preview photos from Everybody Loves Mario, the new Mario sitcom that's in development! After seeing these pictures I'm in no doubt that this series will be able to carve out its own unique nook in television history. Here, take a look:

Grant Kirkhope as Donkey Kong (#10)

Due to popular demand, Kirkhope will be reprising his role as Donkey Kong, dropping in on the Mario brothers from time to time and causing trouble!

Mercedes Rose as Rosalina (#7)

Rose's Rosalina is a mysterious figure, apparently hailing from the cosmos. She gives off a relaxing, motherly aura whenever she pops up on the show.

Kate Higgins as Pauline (#7)

Higgins is a relative newcomer to the series. Pauline is the mayor of New Donk City, where the brothers relocate to after fleeing Brooklyn, and an important ally to the two.

Danny Wells as Luigi (#7)

Wells portrays everyone's favourite green-clad plumber, Luigi! Trying to put what happened in Brooklyn behind them, the two re-establish their plumbing agency in New Donk City and set their hearts on getting back to work!

Deanna Mustard as Princess Daisy (#6)

The princess of Sarasaland, Mustard's Daisy falls for Luigi soon after meeting him. The show often goes into great detail establishing her personality and appearance.

Samantha Kelly as Princess Peach (#4)

Kelly plays Princess Peach of the Mushroom Kingdom, an old friend of Mario and Luigi's and a love interest to the former. She follows them from Brooklyn, seeking to help them start anew.

Kenny James as Bowser (#4)

Bowser, played by James, is the villain of the show - and what a villain he is! After learning of the brothers' actions in Brooklyn, the ruthless Bowser will stop at nothing to torment them. They've always managed to foil his schemes before, but there's no telling how far he'll go this time around! Will he finally outwit the brothers, and expose their dark secrets?

Kazumi Totaka as Yoshi (#3)

Totaka plays Yoshi, a plucky friend of the Mario brothers who's lived with them since Brooklyn. He's endlessly loyal to his friends! He's not sure if that's a good thing.

Lou Albano as Mario (#2)

Mario easily settles into New Donk City, much quicker to leave Brookyln behind than his brother. Deep down, however, he does feel for the life he left behind, and keeps his regrets and guilt bottled up deep down. Will Brooklyn be back for revenge? Not if Mario has any say in the matter. Enough blood has been shed.

And finally, the star of the show...

Charles Martinet as EVERYONE! (#1)

Everyone is here!

That's right, Martinet appears in the show as...every character ever created? Which seems a little odd as there's many characters who already have actors. I'm not sure if they retooled the show halfway through the email they sent me, or...

Also, many of these characters don't look official, or at least I don't remember them. Like who the hell is "Waluigi"? He looks a lot like popular Nintendo character Gamefreak75, but...there's something a little off about him.

Ah well, I'm sure Nintendo has something up their sleeve to explain this. Congratulations to Martinet on his leading role!

Thanks for reading, and look out for Everyone Loves Mario in the fall!

So, it seems the fair Princess Peach has invited us to her castle for a spot of cake! We shouldn't keep her waiting; let's go!

There it is, on the horizon! Ah, what a beauty it is!

I've always loved visiting the castle. Such a calm and peaceful locale! Truly a spectacle to witness! But let's not waste too much time marveling; let's head inside and greet the lovely princess!

Hmm... Looking in the foyer, she doesn't seem to be here. Perhaps she's in another room?

She's not in this room, though I do notice the Bob-omb Battlefield painting is gone, and its replacement... well, I've, uh, certainly seen better works of art before.

Perhaps she's in the other room?

Hmm... She doesn't seem to be in here either, but the Jolly Roger Bay painting is replaced as well. I don't mean to offend, but the princess's new taste in art... could use a bit of work, frankly.

Maybe she's taking a stroll out in the courtyard? Let's go check it out.

Glad the Boo infestation in the hallway was dealt with! I've heard they're quite nasty around these parts, spitting ghastly fireballs at you; boy, that would've been dreadful! But I digress; let's head outside.

No? Not out here either? Where could she be then?! This feels like a wild goose chase at this point, but I hope she's okay at least and not kidnapped yet again.

There aren't many other places where she could be, so let's head upstairs.

Drat, not up here. Agh... Is she at the very top? More stairs to climb...

Climbing... *huff* up this tower... *huff* is always such a workout... *huff* but she's gotta be up here... *huff*

Ah, finally, we made it. She... isn't here either, though. Did she dupe us?

That's remarkably unlike her! First, the change in tastes, now the change in personality! Is she going through a mid-life crisis already...?

Again with the bad art! Jeez, princess, get a grip on yourself!

Wait a minute... There's a letter here. What does it say?

That explains a lot.

You're certainly no artistic connoisseur, Bowser, but I must agree that your battles are quite the event! But... wherever could the princess have gone if she's not in Bowser's clutches...?

Wherever she is, Bowser doesn't seem to mind guests, and has at least kept the rest of the castle preserved. This means there's a rare opportunity to check out the castle for yourself! Feel free to browse the castle in the New Princeton Minecraft server, located at (x-1343, z-143)!

Thank you all and have a peachy day!

Snack is up next with M7 - Favorite Yoshi Level!

Bernadetta von Varley

Bluebird; Even If Happiness Is Close By...
"Ready in three... two... one...", the assistant said as Anton straightened his very professional, but out of place looking with his usual wizard or whatever it is outfit, tie and grabbed his microphone. "You're on."

"I'm Anton Magikoopa, and you're watching 'Behind the Presentations' on Shroom TV!", he said cheerily. "Today on its fifth anniversary we're taking a look back at 2013's A7, Favorite Yoshi Game, and while we're at it, returning to Yoshi's Island with Turb to present your favorite Yoshi levels for 2018! From--", he paused. "Hey, where IS Turb? He was supposed to be here. This is outrageous!".

"He said he needed to make his own presentation", the assistant said from the control box. "Uh, we're still rolling by the way."

"...I know, I'll just grab Turb out of some other part of the timeline!", Anton said, disappearing with a poof of colored, chex mix-shaped magikoopa magic and returning a few seconds later dragging a disoriented looking Turb. "Where am? When am I? Whenhowtally", he said as Anton stuck a microphone in his face. "Hi, Turb! You're on 'Behind the Presentations' on Shroom TV! Today we're looking at 2013's A7 as well as presenting M7, Favorite Yoshi Level!". Turb looked mad and angry. "Huh?! I don't want to do another presentation, I already did one! Who gave you the RIGHT?!".

Yes, I know I didn't actually draw the tie.

Anton whipped a stack of papers out of his pocket. "Even if I had these blackmail photos of the illegal gambling establishment in your garage? Huh?".

"Is it illegal to own a slot machine?".

"Uh... Maybe? It could be. Anyway Turb, want to tell us a little about your involvement in A7?". Turb sighed. "Well, the year before that, Snack made some presentations where I was really angry and Perch was my sidekick, and then that year he made another presentation that was basically the same thing... Wait, where are we?". While he was talking Anton had teleported both of them to the lush landscape of Yoshi's Island, a river valley unfolding below the mountains in front of them. "And here we are, viewers, at the location where the exciting climax of A7 was filmed, when the Yoshis rampage around the valley because they'd been eating the peppers from Uniju's hot pepper patch! Can you tell us anything about how that scene was made?".

"Oh yeah, I remember that!", Turb said. "The pepper patch was actually real, but they weren't hot peppers. The production crew planted a patch of bell peppers and the Yoshis just acted; we had about two or three hundred Yoshi extras for the scene... Oh, see the hut they built is still there too", he pointed it out, looking a bit run down next to the overgrown pepper patch. "Oh, that's nice!", Anton said. "On to our next location!". In a swirl of colors they teleported again, finding themselves surrounded by fabric and blistering heat. "This one wasn't in the movie, but it is your choice for third favorite Yoshi level; with 83 votes, it's Bunson the Hot Dog's Castle from Yoshi's Woolly World! Doesn't it look so comfy?". Turb climbed down from the safety of the felt platform on to the very comfy looking wool lava and screamed. "Ow! Aaarrgghh, what the hell?! Ooowwww!". He climbed back up, his Duplighost bedsheet a little singed and smoking, and caught up with Anton as he walked through the level. "--and up here's the location of the fourth ball of yarn!".

"Anton, are you spoiling the level for people?".

"Yeah, but what right do you have to complain about people spoiling things? Hey, what happened to you?".

Looks like he's in a pretty crispy situation.

"I don't want to talk about that", Turb replied, frowning. He was cheered up when he saw an adorable, if slightly mean-looking, red yarn dog and reached out to pet it, burning his hand and screaming again. "Aaaagh! What is wrong with this place?! How is the wool this hot when it's just wool?! Can we go somewhere else now?".

"Alright, fine", Anton said. "Anyway, next we need to talk to Snack about writing the script for the presentation. That's right after these great messages from our sponsors!".

I don't understand, what part of this ad looks stolen to you? What do you mean "All of it"?

"And we're back!", Anton announced, standing outside of a house. "Right now we're interviewing Snack about writing 2013's A7 Favorite Yoshi Game presentation on 'Behind the Presentations' on Shroom TV! Let's go knock on his door."

The door swung open and Snack stepped out. "Hey, you wanted to talk about Yoshi levels right? Come in". Anton and Turb walked inside and sat down in the living room. "Wait, how did you know this was about Yoshi levels? I never said we were coming over."

"Yeah you did. Oh, in the future. The future for you but it's actually the past for me". Anton sighed. "Ok, can we not time travel for the presentations next year? This is getting confusing."

"I can't promise that unless I time travel to the future and make sure we don't. Anyway I haven't actually played much Yoshi so--".

"Oh, yeah, I wanted to ask you about A7 in 2013."

"--Oh, ok. Uh... I wrote it. I didn't put much effort in to it I don't think. I don't remember what gave me any of the ideas. Except that bit at the end after Turb got eaten was from a Weird Al Yankovic song. You know, we actually made a giant mechanical Yoshi for that, that had a Toad sitting in the bottom to control it and then it had a platform for Turb to sit on before he got 'spit out' by the Yoshi. It had a whole head but actually the side of its body that you can't see on film was mostly exposed metal skeleton."

"Oh, that's pretty interesting! The Yoshi in that scene came out pretty lifelike", Anton said. "Anything else you can say?".

"Well, a fun fact is, the Toad who sat and controlled the Yoshi was actually GBAToad. He'd just joined and so he got the job of operating it."

"Wow, really? That's interesting too!".

"Nah, that was a lie."

Anton and Turb walked out the front door. "Well, after that, I think it's time we visit another Yoshi level!", he announced to the cameras before teleporting away. They found themselves once again in some sort of building, or possibly underground. "Here we are, it's your choice for second favorite Yoshi level! Just edging out Bunson's castle with 84 votes is another Yoshi's Woolly World level; this time it's Feel Fuzzy, Get Clingy!". Turb looked around. "This doesn't seem like the kind of place you'd see Fuzzies. They're usually in jungles or forests righ--", he didn't notice until he was dumped over the edge and into a bottomless pit that his feet were stuck to a velcro conveyor belt. Anton sighed, teleporting him back up.

"ANTON! This is all your fault, I didn't even want to do this presentation with you! I have better things to d--", while screaming at Anton he almost went over again but managed to get off the velcro and on to safe ground. Anton shrugged. "It's not that dangerous! It's just a nice, relaxing Yoshi game. Wow, look at all that yarn!". They painstakingly made their way through the level, dealing with the sticky velcro and the bug-eyed, crazed-looking Burrberts before finally reaching the surface. "Aurora borealis?!", Turb exclaimed, catching a glimpse of the shimmering colors in the sky as they climbed out of the pit they'd reached to safety.

"Now, we have one more person to interview! Really there should be two, but Waluigi declined to comment for this story as his lawyers advised him not to speak to the press during ongoing litigation over not being allowed in Super Smash Brothers, so--", him and Turb went down a warp pipe to wind up back in the studio, "--we have Perch, one of our talented forum moderators, in the studio today to talk about his role in A7! Give him a round of applause!".

The pre-recorded applause track played as the camera zoomed in on Perch, in a comfy leather armchair on the stage even though being a blocky Boo he really wasn't sitting in the chair but more floating just above the cushion. "Hey, Anton! It's good to be back on the show getting interviewed instead of interviewing other people."

"Yeah, it's good to see you again", Anton said as Perch took a sip of obligatory talk show coffee. "So, you appeared in A7 as Turb's sidekick. What was that like?". Perch set down his coffee mug. "Well, the filming itself went pretty smoothly, but we did have some issues filming on Yoshi's Island out in the jungle. The rain made the campsite where we had our trailers a total mess. And, you know, my relationship with Turb at that time was running into trouble because we had such different fe--".

"Ooook, thanks for being here and talking to us today Perch!", Anton stood up. "Yeah, always great being on show", Perch said, floating away. "Can't talk about that on national TV. Anyway! It's finally time for your favorite Yoshi level for 2018!". Anton teleported himself and Turb once more, ending up in a lush jungle. "Yes, you may have guessed it; your favorite Yoshi level, with 295 votes, is Touch Fuzzy, Get Dizzy from Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island! So, let's take a look arou--", a fuzzy drifting by grazed Anton. "--dn oooohhh wooww, Im' dizzy."

What a magcical journey

Turb sighed. "I'm just going to leave you here for making me do these presentations you know". He started walking to the end of the stage with Anton trying to follow him. "Nah its' cool Im' okay here", he said as a member of the camera crew helped him, until he managed to sober up as they reached the end of the level. "...And there you have it!", he said as they teleported back to the studio. "Your favorite Yoshi levels for 2018 and our inside look at how a classic presentation! That's it for 'Behind the Presentations'; next up is NSY with A2, Favorite Mario Kart Game! ...Just kidding!".

GBAToad is up next with M10 - Favorite Song!

Claude von Riegan

do you ever yearn for the soft touch of a pancake
Core 'Shroom Staff
Why, oh why, did I sign up for Favourite Song? I am part GBA, and part Toad. Neither of those things are good at music by themselves, and I suck at it completely!

With three weeks to finish my presentation, an idea so amazing, so bizarre, should pop into my head any second now.

Nothing I can draw within the space of 6 hours at least. maybe next year...

...why do people even enjoy these songs? There must be something within them I can examine to determine their appeal.

On that night three weeks ago, Turb stuffed a suspicious package with various forms of media containing the top three favourite songs into my mailbox. He whispered "don't forget your assignment" before cocking his gun and hopping back into the Awards Van, driving off into the night. Why did I sign up for this? These MIDI files, CDs, choir books, extended .ogg files of wiki-illegal length are all useless to me. Where are the thin-sections, or hand samples... something I can manipulate...

Yes, records! The critically acclaimed Ashley's Song was renowned for its hidden mantra that granted all children to the depths of hell, I mean, there were probably religious protests somewhere in the world about it. Maybe. These other songs might also have subliminal messages in them that make people want to vote for them! It is the only explanation.

Time to bust out the turntable and the turntable lubricant because I'm about to spin the hottest records on the glock. At least I think that's what Turb's gun was.

So they're finally here, performing for you
If you know the words, you can join in too
Put your hands together, if you want to clap
As we take you through this monkey rap

DK! Donkey Kong!!

He's the leader of the bunch, you know him well
He's finally back to kick some tail
His Coconut Gun can fire in spurts
If he shoots ya, it's gonna hurt
He's bigger, faster, and stronger too
He's the first member of the DK crew

DK! Donkey Kong!
DK! Donkey Kong is here!

This Kong's got style, so listen up dudes
She can shrink in size, to suit her mood
She's quick and nimble when she needs to be
She can float through the air and climb up trees
If you choose her, you'll not choose wrong
With a skip and a hop, she's one cool Kong

DK! Donkey Kong!

He has no style, he has no grace
This Kong has a funny face
He can handstand when he needs to
And stretch his arms out, just for you
Inflate himself just like a balloon
This crazy Kong just digs this tune

DK! Donkey Kong!
DK! Donkey Kong is here!

He's back again and about time too
And this time he's in the mood
He can fly real high with his jetpack on
With his pistols out, he's one tough Kong
He'll make you smile when he plays his tune
But Kremlings beware 'cause he's after you

DK! Donkey Kong!

Finally, he's here for you
It's the last member of the DK crew
This Kong's so strong, it isn't funny
Can make a Kremling cry out for mummy
Can pick up a boulder with relative ease
Makes crushing rocks seem such a breeze
He may move slow, he can't jump high
But this Kong's one hell of a guy

C'mon Cranky, take it to the fridge!

Walnuts, peanuts, pineapple smells
Grapes, melons, oranges and coconut shells
Ahh yeah!!

Jumping right into it, I can see this record is well loved by someone. There's so much wear-and-tear, and... oh, is that a blood stain on the back? I can see this record was well loved by someone. Time to pop it onto the Turntable and see if there's any hidden messages.

So they're f....If y....we ...s the leader of th...k some tail....ron...rewDonke...dudes She...o....u'lln handstust agat Kreml rocks, melons

"So if we lead some New Donk dudes, she'll hand us a Krem rockmelon..."

This can't be it. There's no way people are subconsciously agreeing to a Planet of the Apes style uprising of New Donk City, spearheaded by the Mayor herself in exchange for low-grade Kremling fruits. I must've spun the record too fast. Let's check out the next track.

Smash through the blocks that bar your way
No time for fear just let it all fall away (all fall away)

Nobody believes in me and you, just look at the way they stare
So what if we live in a walled garden, as long as I've got you then I don't care

Kick off the wall and take the plunge
Tripping through 2 dimensions
Up on the moon we'll twirl and swoon
Just lead the way (and I'll follow you)

I'll throw my hat in the ring, 'cause you're the one
A miracle in three dimensions
Follow the brick path straight to my heart
And we'll grab the flag together the fireworks are gonna start

Shake off the chains, you're running free
You'll be amazed at all that there is to see (there is to see)

Together we're racing for the goal, and no one can stop us now
Maybe we don't know where we're going, but we're gonna get there somehow

Climb up the vine and land in the clouds
Maybe then we'll swap up for down
'cross the sea we're still you and me
I'll follow you (Just lead the way)

You've got me over the moon, and that's no jest
We're miles above the rest
Look in your eyes and I know we'll be fine
So let's shoot for the stars and make this love really shine

Nobody believes in me and you, just look at the way they stare
So what if we live in a walled garden, as long as I've got you then I don't care

Kick off the wall and take the plunge
Tripping through 2 dimensions
Up on the moon we'll twirl and swoon
Just lead the way (and I'll follow you)

I'll throw my hat in the ring, 'cause you're the one
A miracle in three dimensions
Follow the brick path straight to my heart
And we'll grab the flag together the fireworks are gonna start

Ah, Break Free (Lead The Way). An upbeat jam that backgrounds the intense and heart-filled final moments of Super Mario Odyssey. It's about love, so I hope it's forbidden message is just as nice and wholesome. Time to spin that record!

Smash th...e wall a...p on th...n three d...tAnd w.....e firew...r the g...egonn....e then w.....You'...k in y.... shin...body...s i....e in a wall...

"Smash the wall on three and fire the gun then you can hide bodies in the wall"

Oh god.

I scratched the record reflexively, fearing I was uncovering secrets I was not supposed to hear. I knew having the records delivered to me in a manilla folder by a bedsheet ghost wielding a glock could only mean bad things. These awards assignments get more intense as the years go by, but I have to finish what I started. There must be a reason behind these songs' popularity.

Trembling in fear, I turn over the last record case, and my heart jumps.

I thought two-two-five-seven's new single wasn't even public yet, how the shit did this get in here? I take the record out of its case, and pop it on the turntable, expecting to hear the unique opening xylophone melody of Lantern of My Sins, when suddenly...

OH THANK GOD
Well I guess I should spin the wheel, take a chance, and check Mayor Pauline's single for any references to rockmelons or bodies, or perhaps the reason why it was chosen to be No. 1 in this award!

Ah, I think I found the hidden message I was supposed to be looking for. Between verses 3 and 4!

Here we go, off the rails
Don't you know it's time to raise our sails
It's freedom like you never knew

Don't need bags, or a pass
Say the word I'll be there in a flash
You could say my hat is off to you

Oh we can zoom
All the way to the moon
From this great wide wacky world
Jump with me, grab coins with me
Oh yeah!

we released this on iTunes and pushed it hard in pretty much all the promotional material for this game, vote for it you fools

It's time to jump up in the air (Jump up in the air)
Jump up, don't be scared (Jump up, don't be scared)
Jump up and your cares will soar away
And if the dark clouds start to swirl (Dark clouds start to swirl)
Don't fear, don't shed a tear, 'cause
I'll be your 1UP girl

So let's all jump up super high (Jump up super high)
High up in the sky (High up in the sky)
There's no power-up like dancing
You know that you're my superstar (You're my superstar)
No one else can take me this far
I'm flipping the switch
Get ready for this
Oh, let's do the odyssey

Odyssey, ya see! (x7)
Odyssey, odyssey!

Spin the wheel, take a chance
Every journey starts a new romance
A new world's calling out to you

Take a turn, off the path
Find a new addition to the cast
You know that any captain needs a crew

Take it in stride
As you move side to side
They're just different points of view
Jump with me, grab coins with me
Oh yeah!

Come on and jump up in the air (Jump up in the air)
Jump without a care (Jump without a care)
Jump up 'cause you know that I'll be there
And if you find you're short on joy (Find you're short on joy)
Don't fret, just don't forget that
You're still our 1UP boy

So go on straighten up your cap (Straighten up your cap)
Let your toes begin to tap (Toes begin to tap)
This rhythm is a power 'shroom
Don't forget you're the superstar (You're the superstar)
No one else can make it this far
Put a comb through that 'stache
Now you've got panache
Oh, let's do the odyssey

It's time to jump up in the air (Jump up in the air)
Jump up, don't be scared (Jump up, don't be scared)
Jump up and your cares will soar away
And if the dark clouds start to swirl (Dark clouds start to swirl)
Don't fear, don't shed a tear, 'cause
I'll be your 1UP girl

Now listen all you boys and girls (All you boys and girls)
All around the world (All around the world)
Don't be afraid to get up and move
You know that we're all superstars (We're all superstars)
We're the ones who made it this far
Put a smile on that face
There's no time to waste
So, let's do the odyssey

What can I say? This award goes only the best collection of polygons. And let me just say, these particular polygons? Wow. You can't do better than these ones. They're fun, beautiful, and have an excellent dance number at the end. Where could this be?

Well, it's the...

The Paratroopa Post
Monarchy Lives in Dark Land
In preparation for his highly anticipated marriage to Princess Peach Toadstool of the Mushroom Kingdom, King Bowser Koopa launched two weeks ago worldwide military operations. The nature of these operations, classified and known in full only to high ranking members of the Koopa Troop, was kept under a veil of secrecy. A surprise press release by the Ministry of War last night has announced the ending of these operations and the unexpected cancellation of the wedding.

Lifting restrictions on the publishing of information about the operations, the Ministry of War has issued a press release highlighting the work of the Koopa Troop and its allies. The editorial staff of this paper would like to commend our countrymen for their bravery and commitment to service. In honor of these brave Troopas, the press release from the Ministry of War, with full-color photos, is reproduced in full below.

Citizens of Dark Land, please join the Ministry of War in recognizing the skill and bravery of our loyal Troopas. We at the Ministry are very disappointed to hear rumors of dissent within the ranks, including a very persistent rumor that some participants in recent worldwide operations played any role in assisting Mario or other enemies of the Koopa Kingdom. Reports of unusual cases of amnesia are similarly nothing more than rumours. In addition, the Ministry of War would like to clarify the reports that individuals involved in the recent military operations were found to be wearing clothing which resembled Mario’s. These images were produced as a component of a psychological warfare campaign launched against the Mushroom Kingdom.
A decorated unit of our fearless chestnut warriors are seen above, working in traditional garb of the peasantry. Though steeped in a proud tradition and seen here in formal uniform, the Goomba alone possesses the ability to join into a formation more suitable for battle at a rapid pace.
In the Goomba Tower stack, these loyal fungi are able to reach great new heights and perform maintenance work on Bill Blasters and other fortifications out of reach for other ground Troopas. The Goomba Towers can even be climbed to allow other Troopas to scale high platforms and walls. Goomba support crews were also widely deployed in icy environments, where their superior traction allowed them to work more efficiently than other Troopas. In addition, our technology allowed for the development of switches which required an entire squad of Goombas, which allowed for the storage of valuable items where we could ensure that plumbers or locals could not interfere with our operations.
The Koopa Troop also found great success in finding allies from the local populations of the lands in which operations were carried out. The Uproot and Tropical Wiggler of the Wooded Kingdom and the Lost Kingdom proved invaluable in facilitating transportations of Troopas. Tropical Wigglers, with their ability to stretch their bodies long distances, were invaluable for the horizontal movement of men and materials across gaps. Their stretching abilities also made it possible to retrieve useful items that were just out of reach from the edge of platforms. Uproots, on the other hand, facilitated vertical transport. Their hardy nature and ability to stretch their legs to push their body upwards made them ideal for reaching high ledges, moving over walls, breaking blocks too high to jump to, and pushing platforms to higher positions.
Our dedicated intelligence sources carefully monitored the actions of any persons who were deemed a threat to operations. An individual known as Glydon was identified as a potential threat. His ability to glide long distances when starting from a high point represented a threat from above to encampments of Troopas otherwise protected by large gaps or fortifications. Confirmed to have associations with Mario, the figure was kept far from the most important of Lord Bowser’s operations.
The cooperation of the Seaside Kingdom’s entire population of Gushen represents another diplomatic success of the Koopa Troop. Allying with Brigadier Mollusque-Lanceur III, Dauphin of Bubblaine, we were able to find a place for Gushen in our operations. While limited to operations near water, their ability to jet forward and into the air allowed them greater flexibility than many other Troopas typically stationed near bodies of water. In addition, their ability to shoot a stream of water or spray bursts of water made them useful in an offensive and defensive capacity. While testing ended early due to termination of operations, preliminary trials indicate the Gushen may be useful in the removal of graffiti and lava.
Members of the elite “Bros.” units were also deployed in the recent worldwide operations. Fire Bros. and Hammer Bros. once again proved themselves as the best of the best that the Koopa Kingdom has to offer. Their jumping movements allowed them to confuse opponents as they rapidly circled them and attacked from behind. Their offensive abilities were unmatched, with flurries of hammers subduing all enemies of Lord Bowser and the threat of being hit by a fireball keeping locals from interfering with operations. In addition, the Bros. played key roles in movement of Troopas, with Hammer Bros. using their hammers to remove rocks and other hard obstacles which impeded progress, and Fire Bros. able to clear out flammable obstacles. In the above image, a fearless Fire Bro. lights a fire over which a captured Volbonan will prepare a meal for our Troopas before they begin returning home.
#4: T-REX
Above are images of a T-Rex taken by our intelligence teams. The large creature appeared to possess little in the way of intelligence, but was strong enough to warrant a continual monitoring effort. Observations indicated that it was capable of breaking rocks, fortifications, and other obstacles. It had no difficulty in knocking out Burrbo and other creatures. Based on these observations, we determined it best to keep Troopas stationed far from the creature. Despite its formidable size, it seems the creature was capable of doing no more than running, breaking things, clearing enemies out of its path, and roaring. Despite its ultimate inability to do very much, the creature was very popular with those in our ranks, with experts offering official opinions that the creature looked “awesome”, felt “thrilling”, and would be “good for marketing”. This T-Rex proves that, at times, looking cool is more important than actually possessing any useful skills.
One of the newer additions to the Koopa Troop, the Pokio is one of the most versatile Troopas we’ve ever had in our ranks. They use their very simple skill, the ability to extend their beak with a sharp jabbing motion, in a variety of creative ways that makes their movement and offensive capabilities feel fundamentally different. They can launch themselves up walls and other fortifications by sticking their beaks in walls and catapulting themselves upwards. They are not limited to vertical travel, however; they can also make use of this ability to travel along walls. Their abilities leave them well equipped for infiltration missions. In addition, their beak can be used offensively, either jabbing nearby enemies or redirecting projectiles like bombs. They can jump and even double-jump with a twirl. Their versatility is truly unmatched.

In another success for our intelligence gathering teams, we were able to take extensive notes on the behaviors and abilities of known enemy of the Koopa Kingdom Yoshi. The ability to eat Troopas, fruits, and other objects was well documented previously, but Yoshi demonstrated new abilities. Our intelligence agents have determined that Yoshi is able to use his tongue to latch onto objects and launch off of them in an improvised wall jump. As seen in the above image, this can also be used to vault over small objects. This new ability, when combined with the Flutter Jump abilities possessed by the Yoshi species, makes Yoshi a major threat to our future operations. Due to the diligence of our intelligence agents, though, we were able to confirm that Yoshi stayed within the Mushroom Kingdom during the recent worldwide operations and posed a threat only to the small squad of Goombas stationed near Peach’s Castle to observe the actions of the Toads.
And, of course, our number one fighter was none other than our King, Bowser. Above are images of Lord Bowser selflessly rescuing Princess Peach Toadstool from a collapsing cavern using his great strength, intelligence, and skill. With great endurance, Lord Bowser could easily shake off a great number of hits from boulders and collapsing pillars which would have ended lesser man. His sharp claws and powerful build allowed him to effortlessly knock down walls, break apart rolling rocks twice his size, and destroy even the toughest of supporting columns all while carrying and protecting the princess. When he wanted to blast an obstacle out of range, Lord Bowser shot out an enormous inferno which melted even stone. Who doesn’t wish they could, even for a moment, be Lord Bowser and use his amazing power? We would like to thank our King for his efforts and leadership!

Posting on behalf of Hooded Pitohui & Koops

: Hey, guys, I know it's a pleasant surprise to see me here, but don't get too excited about it, it's just good ol' Koops! You know, a few months ago my boss MCD called me up and told me he had just been told that I had been selected for a very important task. He said that, as The ‘Shroom’s official Travel Guide writer, I needed to look at the Mario game settings most liked by the community and give my official Travel Guide opinion on them.

: When I heard that from him, I realized that this wasn’t going to be just a normal Travel Guide article. It couldn’t, not with the community depending on the best of the best for Awards Presentations! After thinking for a while, I realized what I needed to do, so, I set out on a journey.

: I had to… find the two others who could help me turn my vision into reality…

: It was not an easy journey…

: At one point, I had to board a ship, and… do things that I’m not proud of…

: At another point, I had to return to the Underwhere and pass through unimaginably difficult trials…

: But it was all worth it. For I, Koops, have assembled…

: Alright, don’t you think that’s enough setting up? Realah T. here is ready to take a look at the real estate markets in the community’s favorite neighborhoods.

: Yes, we must start on this project. An undertaking such as this requires dedication and focus. While showmanship is an admirable quality, I must request that you get this underway. Flavio’s time is valuable, after all.

: Shelled and mustachioed gentleman, you were the one to assemble us, so, though Flavio is clearly the most skilled and senior member of this crew, I recommend you take the lead and begin describing these locales.

: Alright, you heard the man, people. We're moving! It is time to check out these Mario game settings you love so much!

#5: Mushroom Kingdom (Paper Mario)

: So here we have a solid... oh wait no it's paper... anyway, a nice start to this little listy we got there. I haven't ventured there myself, even though I've been in the Paper world twice already!

: The Mushroom Kingdom has quite the variety of landscapes and peoples, from the Nomadimouse of the desert to the Koopas of Koopa Village. Perhaps this variety is what attracts its multitudes of fans?

: And all that variation is under the dominion of the capital city here, Toad Town. The real estate markets are tighter here than anywhere else in the Kingdom, with high demand from all sorts. If you don’t have a high cap on your budget, you’ll find availability here’s a bit spotty. The gentrification of the neighborhoods that the Goombas used to live in before they turned traitor hasn’t helped much, either.

: While it lacks the grandeur of Mushroom City or the idyllic atmosphere of Faire Square, I must admit that this middling urban center attracts a great deal of commercial activity. Mushroom Grocery and the Post Office serve the needs of locals, while those with the entrepreneurial spirit find ways to enrich themselves at the expense of tourists with drinks and music Club 64 and entertainment in the Playroom.

: It should come as no surprise that this capital is well-equipped with transport for all sorts of commercial enterprises. With the K64 train and the dock to the south, people and cargo alike can be shipped anywhere in the realm with ease. It’s quite easy to see why this town always has such a diverse mixture of visitors.

: That’s all true, but there’s no denying that the most notable residents of Toad Town are Toads! This place is a fungal paradise.

: It’s also worthy to note that Toads are distinct here more than anywhere else barring Rogueport, so there's that! But I see why this place isn't any higher on the list... the next entries are better than this! And... I probably could've phrased that better.

#4: Rogueport and surrounding areas

: Oh yes, Rogueport! A town infested with thieves, I love that too! Wouldn't you wanna live in a place like this?

: That tone in your voice… you’re still upset over that Bandit stealing your coins, aren’t you? There’s no need to be so salty when you’re here by the sea.

: Perhaps this mishap will teach you to better heed my advice next time I’m kind enough to give it to you. Flavio is well-versed in the ways of this den of thieves, after all. This town, so rich in commercial opportunity, is much like a second home to me.

: Obviously I was being sarcastic, but it seems you people like this place because of the game from which it comes and not because of the location itself.

: Yeah, you can’t beat the stories that surround this place. It’s those stories of the legendary treasure that rested under the town square here that originally drew the unsavoury types you see here today.

: So you mean there's a legendary treasure that rests in a hidden palace under this noose? Why is there even a noose? Is it supposed to symbolize the thoughts of anyone who is (un)lucky enough to live here among a mob and a bunch of thugs?

: The town is rough, yes, but I do not believe it is deserving of the level of disdain which you hold for it. It does have a great deal of entrepreneurial spirit. Admittedly, most of these self-proclaimed “entrepreneurs” lack the strong moral sense which Flavio has, but, there is no doubt that services of all kinds abound here.

: Item Shops serve the area in regions as remote as the Fahr Outpost to Keelhaul Key, transportation by ship, blimp, or the Excess Express is highly accessible, the Pianta Parlor provides a source of entertainment for the masses lacking an education in statistics, and attractions as diverse as the Shhwonk Fortress and the Poshley Sanctum capture revenue from tourists.

: You are wholly unjustified to go as far as you do in disparaging it! You focus solely on its negative aspects without giving any thought to what the town has to offer! I would never think a professional Travel Guide writer would allow such bias to undermine the impartiality of their reviews!

: What do you mean I am taking this too far? This town is an awful place to live in!

: Ol’ Realah T. here has to agree with Koops. I’ve delivered properties here before, and the Pianta Syndicate or the Robbo Gang always want a cut of the profit. Reputable realtors can’t make any money here. Try to make some noise and attract potential buyers, and those miscreants force you to pipe down and work in the relative safety of the Rogueport Sewers.

: Those are the problems of the realtors, a profession which has … less than scrupulous… business practices which do not align with the true entrepreneurial spirit. In the opinions held by those who matter, the mustachioed gentleman is still incorrect.

: …

: Buuuut in terms of level design and creativity, I gotta hand it to this place... besides, it's not just this town, but all surrounding areas including Petal Meadows, Poshley Heights, Glitzville, Twilight Town, and if I had to pick one location to settle in, it would be Boggly Woods!

: Anyway... I'm probably dragging this, ain't I? Let’s move on to the top three!

#3: Isle Delfino

: Quick! Look out the window before we get too far up and you’ll be able to see Isle Delfino and Pinna Island!

: Huh, Super Mario Sunshine made an appearance it seems.

: Soo... let me get this straight... they had Mario arrested because the graffiti looked like him even though he had just arrived to the island, and in the end, they don't even have evidence... I mean maybe that guy who was making all the graffiti tried to target someone? Did they really go with only that piece of evidence? Well, I guess Pianta police has a pretty... interesting level of competence.

: The Delfino Police are legendarily incompetent. Skilled merchants like Flavio avoid the island like the plague. Far too many shipments have been delayed because of random cargo checks drawn out by the uneducated police force of those abhorrent mountain people.

: Even worse, Isle Delfino is nothing more than a middle-class tourist trap. They might promise a tropical paradise, but even the best of their lodging and attractions pale in comparison to what one would find at Poshley Heights. Do not even allow me to begin on their food. Their seafood is anything but succulent, and their fruit lacks any subtlety in taste. As the editor of Foppish Gourmet Weekly, Flavio can tell you with great certainty that even a Keelhaul Key coconut is better than the fruits sold in the Delfino Plaza market.

: But… even I must applaud the business endeavors of the imbecilic Pianta and their comparatively intelligent Noki friends. They’ve established businesses as diverse as the Hotel Delfino, Pinna Park, extensive shipping and fish markets in Ricco Harbor, hot springs in Pianta Village, and an effective airport on the Airstrip.

: Yeah, the fact that Isle Delfino is structured so differently from the Mushroom Kingdom really draws the crowds. The tropical tourist island setting really helps break up the monotony of the usual places Mario adventures. Unlike the Mushroom Kingdom, this place doesn’t have to resort to the same tired grassland, desert, ice pattern you usually see.

: Oh yeah! You guys are right about this one! This island has tons of things to do and places to visit, varying from Pinna Park's attracting attractions, Sirena Beach and its Hotel, Pianta Village, Bianco Hills, and the list goes on really! It's a shame that there exists better places, but it's also a good thing, because not many locations CAN get better than this!

#2: Galaxies

: Well, gentleman, it seems we have ascended to a great enough height that our next destination is within sight.

: ...

: Ha! I knew it! This Mario Odyssey world is amazing but it doesn't beat... WAIT WHAT?!

: Yeah I know Mario Odyssey is half of the fanbase's favorite game, but does it have to be on the top of EVERYTHING?

: What else might you expect? There might be a wide variety of landscapes in these planetary systems, but the significant lack of trade between the few scattered settlements stifles this place’s development.

: ...

: But… I suppose it is Flavio who is being unfair now. While there’s little in the way of business up here, there may yet be redeeming qualities. What is it about this place that excites you so, mustachioed gentleman?

: Well... I guess I should talk about my personal vote now while I'm at it... see you're traveling across galaxies... far from home... within each level hides a new and unique challenge (with the possible exception of Golden Leaf Galaxy), and each one is a fun way to test an aspect of the game. And yet, despite all this traveling, and the fact that you're in space, in a very far away place, you still right at home in the observatory, with Rosalina and the little Lumas around... and I mean come on this is my all-time favorite game.

: What an… incoherent rant...

: And what say you, my fungal associate?

: It’s… It’s...

: Are you ill?

: Uh, you okay guy?

: This place is a completely untapped real estate market! The potential opportunities here are huge!

: Buy some land in the Rolling Green Galaxy, and you’ll find it’s anything but subpar! Or, if you want to spice up your assets, put a down payment on the platform next to King Kaliente in Bowser Jr.’s Lava Reactor! Or you can have a blast and use the Bomb Boos in the Ghostly Galaxy to renovate the centrally-located mansion! Or-

: Quiet! Flavio appreciates enthusiasm, but I fear you might go on like this all day. We’ve almost used all of our time, and our final destination approaches. Shelled gentleman, please see us to our final stop.

: I guess we know what the number one entry is... well...

#1: Mario Odyssey World

: It seems that our unnecessarily long journey has reached its end, gentlemen.

: Yeah, but would you look at that view? There’s really not much more you could ask for than a chance to look at that blue jewel of a planet.

: You’ll have to forgive your pal Realah T. here if she gets a bit… a bit choked up. Just thinking about those days in the Completely Real Estate Academy… back when she took her vow to help all types of people find the best home for them anywhere in the world…

: It’s really amazing that there’s so many people in this world, from Tostareneans to Volbonoans to Lochladies to Toads.

: Do not allow yourself to forget the diverse lands they inhabit! From the vast desert, ancient ruins, and mysterious Moe-Eye Habitat in the Sand Kingdom to the lovely fizzing seas of the Seaside Kingdom, this world contains an awe-inspiring variety of lands which enliven the travels of merchants and explorers such as Flavio.

: Agreed, guys! While I did complain about the fact that this is number one... I do really enjoy what they went for here.

: I have to say, the Sand, Bowser, Luncheon and Wooded Kingdom really take the cake for me... with these alone I can tell why people love this a lot. Worlds are expansive, and there's pretty much something around every corner!

: Something around every corner, you say? It is that feeling of discovery that stirs the passions of man, a creature most curious.

: I must confess, that, before and during much of this trip, I had my reservations about joining in this expedition. But, in truth, I think traveling to these lands have reminded me of the important elements of life. My heart has been stirred, as has my desire for the next adventure!

: You said it! This has been one heck of an award I'll say! We should do this again sometime! Of course, by that I mean that it will be something where I can actually make my own picks instead of facing global opinions!

: Anyway, it was a treat! Thanks, everyone, and see ya soon enough!

Special thanks to Raregold for allowing us the use of the character of Realah T.

Professor Frankly: Greetings, everyone. My name is Professor Frankly, professor of archaeology at U Goom. Today, I will be setting out on an expedition to assist one of my colleagues, Prof. Elvin Gadd, with his research on indigenous lifeforms. Unfortunately, he came down with a fever last night and can't make it.

He urged me to not go, and we will complete the expedition another time, saying that I wasn't well-informed on the whereabouts of many of these creatures. I scoffed at him. Does he take me for a fool? I may be an archaeologist, but you know, I'm something of a scientist myself.

Now as for the first species on this list, E. Gadd needs one Boo. Thanks to help of one of my students, Goombella, I was able to ascertain that these paranormal creatures are found at the Creepy Steeple, well beyond Twilight Town. And so my journey begins...

Just beyond these trees should be the Creepy Steeple. The folks at Twilight Town were trying to urge me that I was going on a fruitless adventure and that the Creepy Steeple no longer exists. Bah, I'm just here to collect one Boo, not vacate the building. Ah, we're here...

Wha--what happened here?!? What's with all the houses? WHERE'S THE STEEPLE?!?! HELLO?! IS THERE ANYBODY HERE?!

Red Toad: Hey there, stranger, we don't get many visitors here at the Twilight Toad Town. What brings you here?

Twilight Toad Town? But the Steeple...wasn't it supposed to be here?

Oh that old dump? We bulldozed it to build our homes. After the previous owner went to Broadway, the steeple became abandoned. We figured that the diverse species residing within the steeple were nothing more than nuisances, so we drove them out to form our Toad society.

Hey now that you're here, why don't I introduce you to some my friends.

Let's see, that blue one is Loff T. And that green one over there is Forr T. And that yellow one is Soff T. And that purple one is--

You all look the same! Why does ANY of this matter? This adventure really was pointless.

Hey now, we're all wearing different colored clothes. Or at least among five colors. And see, that one's wearing a silly hat.

I need to get as far away from this place before I lose my mind!

*huff* *huff* I think I got away from those lunatics. Now to just figure out where I am.

Yep, no idea where I am. But I feel like I'm being followed.

Gah! My glasses!

Shy Guy: I'll be taking those. Bet I can fetch a pretty penny for these.

Thank goodness I always wear another pair of glasses underneath! You can never be too prepared, but they're so expensive.

Those cost me a lot of coins. Give them back.

If you want them back, you have to catch me.

A man my age can't keep up with lively youngsters like you. Get...back...he-here...

Phew, I think I lost him. I knew that old codger couldn't keep up.

Wow, did it get hotter or something? My back is all sweaty...and sticky....?

Where'd that rapscallion go? I swore he came down this path. Huh, what's this?

My glasses! But where did that thief run off too? And why are my glasses all sticky and slimy?

Oh well, all that matters is that I got them back. Nothing a good cleaning won't fix.

(Although it feels as if a mysterious presence is following me again. It must be that Shy Guy. I won't let him get me this time.

You won't get me this time, you thief!

I think I'm just going to stick to being an archaeologist from now on.

It was the night before the Favorite Major Character award. A tense night. A tough night. Lots of people were worried, tonight. Competition had been fierce this year, and because of that, the organizers had chosen to try and have everyone get along in a large party.

For some reason, this involved sending all ten of the nominees to an island with nothing but a large mansion on it, isolated and without any contact with the mainland. As well as a detective and his assistant. In retrospect, I really should have been suspicious of why I and my assistant were hired to investigate a perfectly normal party, but hey. Good money. As the boat docked, I stepped ashore, looking at my assistant.

"Ready to meet the cast?"

" was his only reply. He doesn't talk much.

"I know, I know. But even though they're important, they're just like you and me!"

As we entered the mansion, we found an awkward gathering around the table. Mario and Luigi were talking to each other, Toad loudly repeating everything they tried to say in confidence. Bowser, Donkey Kong, and Yoshi were arguing over the merits of various political systems of governance, while Bowser Jr. and Princess Peach played ping-pong. Rosalina and Wario were nowhere to be seen, but my assistant entered the kitchen and reported they were cooking dinner. He asked to join them with a "
", and I sat down to take in the entire situation.

Not that I had any time to do so. Stepping out of the kitchen, my assistant delivered a loud "
". Dinner was served! At the dinner table, I looked around at the rest of the cast.

"...So. I don't know why I'm here, but-"

Before I could say anything, Donkey Kong suddenly collapsed. He convulsed a bit, as myself and my assistant ran over to investigate. By the time we were over, he was dead. Poisoned. Murdered.

And clearly no longer winning the Favorite Major Character award.

"I know, buddy. There's only two people who were in the kitchen, and that makes them our prime suspects!"

Standing up, I dramatically pointed at Rosalina and Wario.

"It's gotta be one of you two!"

"...Ridiculous." "What, you wanna prove it?"

As an experienced detective, I knew exactly what to do. "We'll just lock you in your rooms tonight, so that nobody gets murdered!" Despite their complaints, we had the advantage of numbers, and were able to lock Rosalina and Wario in their rooms. Satisfied that all was well, I returned to the main room after leaving my assistant and Bowser Jr. in charge of guarding the rooms.

Checking back 15 minutes later, my assistant was panicking over Bowser Jr.'s corpse, stabbed with a knife. I knew instantly what had happened...

"Assistant! How long did you leave him alone for?"

"And the doors are still locked?"

"There's only one solution. Let them out, and gather everyone in the main hall!"

There, the nine of us assembled. Myself, my assistant, Peach, Bowser, Luigi, Mario, Yoshi, Wario, and Rosalina. Wait. Nine? Of course... no wonder Toad was missing! He was our mysterious killer all along! "Alright, folks. It's time to split up into pairs and solve this crime! Assistant, you go with Peach. Bowser, with Luigi. Yoshi, with Mario. Wario and Rosalina, with me. Let's find this criminal!"

As the groups scattered throughout the mansion, I made sure to check every suspicious looking nook and cranny. By our systematic search of the first floor, we opened a closet to find... Toad's body, stabbed to death in the same way as Bowser Jr. I shook my head.

"Took his own life out of guilt... shouldn't have tried to wipe out the competition. Well, that's settled. Let's-"

Suddenly, a shot rang out from outside! Running out the door, followed by Wario and Rosalina, I found... my assistant panicking, standing next to the dead body of Princess Peach. I sighed.

"So what happened?"

"Killed from the shadows by someone. I see. We'd better stay inside from now on. Watch each other's backs to ensure nobody can do anything."

It took some persuading to convince the six remaining contestants that inside was better than outside. But even as my assistant pulled out his cell phone and began to place a call to the outside, I knew no one was getting onto this island. Not in the dead of night. Not here.

Soon enough, the eight of us were all collected into the main hallway. While my assistant finished calling, I looked over at the group. Mario, Luigi, Wario, Bowser, Rosalina, Yoshi... one of them absolutely had to be behind it. There weren't any other suspects. It was about them when the doorbell rang, and Wario got up, grumpily approaching the door. A deliveryman was standing outside with a package.

"Special delivery!" He said, before handing the box to Wario and leaving. As Wario looked at it in confusion, it exploded violently. The smoke cleared, making it obvious that Wario had been blown to that great garlic farm in the sky. Looking at everyone else, I turned to my assistant.

"Yes, it must have been prearranged. But who? And how?"

Before we could keep working on this mystery, Rosalina stood up, pointing out that there was a boat anchored at the dock! Escaping could take priority, and we'd figure out the rest later. My assistant went on ahead, while the six of us went down to the boat. I happened to notice the deliveryman lying dead in a bush, and I pointed this out to the others. The general reaction was "this means he won't need his boat!"

Honestly, they were right.

All set, the six of us marched down to the boat. My assistant was waiting, and with a "
", he gestured for people to start boarding. Bowser, never one to wait, immediately leaped into the boat! Whereupon it broke into pieces and sank, the koopa king going under with it.

We waited a bit, but Bowser wasn't coming back up.

Writing him off, we took different routes back to the mansion. Nobody really trusted each other anymore... well, except for me and my assistant. We could have absolute faith that neither of us was the killer!

As myself, Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, and my assistant returned to the mansion, I looked around and noticed that Rosalina was nowhere to be seen. We'd just have to find her, in case she was the killer. Standing up, my assistant volunteered and gave me a warning of "
" before departing into the forest.

Several minutes later, he came back, looking downcast and dragging a corpse behind him.

"So Rosalina had been killed on the way back to the mansion?"

"I see. If the Mario Brothers were together... there's only one possible killer."

We looked at the mansion, pondering it together.

"Let's go get him."

My assistant signaled to me, heading on ahead. He'd capture Yoshi, while I kept the Mario Brothers busy. He went on ahead, and I looped around the long way. Luigi was busy lying on the couch, Mario entering the room just as I entered too. Before I could go keep them busy, though?

The body of Yoshi was tossed down from the stairs. My assistant descended, now... covered in blood!

"Are you okay!?"

"Ah, good. But how did Yoshi's blood get on you?"

"Framed!? But which one framed you!?"

"...Of course. The other brother was the most likely to win Favorite Major Character. Eliminate all the competition to make it seem like a relentless killer, then win the award by default! There's only one solution. We'll need to take him down before he can kill again."

Just then, we looked into the living room. Mario and Luigi were there... Mario offering Luigi a cup of coffee!

"You're right, loyal assistant! He's going to kill again!"

We burst into the room, guns at the ready.

Mario, rather than putting his hands up and confessing to his crimes, turned and began to approach us. Despite the confused look on his face, we knew it was just a trick. In a hail of bullets, we cut that murderer down, the coffee flying from his hands as he collapsed in a pool of blood.

Mario was dead, and Luigi was safe.

"You're right. It's all good. You're safe now, Mr. Luigi. Want my assistant to get you some coffee?"

My assistant gladly went off to get some coffee, and gave it to Luigi. He chugged the entire thing, still looking traumatized - not that I could blame him. His brother was dead, and responsible for eight murders... what a night.

The next morning, after we left, the papers reported two things.

One, that Luigi was found dead of a slow-acting poison administered last night, that only activated when put in coffee. Unfortunately, Mario's fiendish mind had clearly beaten us to the punch, and he had poisoned all the coffee, not just the coffee in the mug.

Two, that Luigi had posthumously been awarded the Favorite Major Character award.

"Job well done, right buddy?"

"You said it, pal."

Wii did it!!

Here’s a picture of us doing it.

The Mario Awards XII ceremony has now concluded, but don’t fret, there’s still stuff going on! Some tournaments are still going on, such as the Super Mario Odyssey Scavenger Hunt that everyone with a Switch and also Super Mario Odyssey should be playing because it’ll make me very happy. Minecraft Games are also in a few days, there’s Ltq’s scavenger hunt, TPG’s scavenger hunt, KG, probably other stuff, and then eventually prizes! ‘Shroom release is tomorrow so pray for Meta Knight and Blocky.

Thank you so much for everyone attending! A colossal amount of work, time, dedication, and sacrifice goes into this every year, and seeing everyone enjoy it and have a good time makes it worth it. Please keep up this support for our community projects here, such as the Anniversary happenings, the ‘Shroom, games people run, artwork people share, stories they post, conversations to be had. Simple gestures and participation mean the world and helps keep this place warm and cuddly :bowser:

A final thank you to my fellow core Awards staff, Turb, Edo, 22, Meta Knight, and Ltq for helping this be yet another relatively stress-free year. This is always a formidable project, and I don’t think there’s too many other people I would choose to have with me doing this.

Good night, and hope to see you all next year :pgp:

"And we're back! I'm ShinonMercyKokichi Ouma, always your super high school level Ultra Directorformer DirectorSub-Director!", said Turboo, calling herhimself ShinonMercyKokichi Ouma again for some reason.

"And I'm PerchMagnolia ArchMiu IrumaBE AN IDOLMASTER LATER YOU FOOL. Always your co-host.", said PerchMagnolia ArchMiu Iruma, somehow not enthused about still being the lowly underling.

"PERCHMaggie (it's short for "Magnolia")MIU! You listen to me second-to-last-in-sip! You were supposed to be enthusiastic! You already made me tally!"

"Let's just play the tape."

"Whenhowtally. Whenhowtally. Whenhowtally."

Grainy footage of an island somewhere

"Hello! This is Turboo, always your Ultra Directorformer DirectorSub-Director, here on Yoshi's Island! We're here doing Award AM7, favorite Yoshi game, right at the source."

"Turb! Turb! We have a big problem! Angry dinosaurs!"

Indeed, it was true. All the Yoshis were running wild.

"What could the problem possibly be? Everyone loves Yoshi! Why would they be angry with us!?"

PerchMaggieMiu tried to shrug. Sadly though it's hard to shrug when you're a fishMagnolia tree?idk let's say he's a fish again. shrugged because it's easy for a person to shrug, usually.

"PerchMaggieMiu! Fetch me my Super Scope!"

This really happened in 1993.

Incidentally, one person wrote in Yoshi's Safari as best Yoshi game. It came in last place.

And so Turb set out on herhis journey to discover the favorite Yoshi games hidden all over Yoshi's island, with only the help of herhis trusty Super Scope and herhis underling PerchMaggieMiu to stave off the rampaging Yoshis angrey for some reason. But first, shehe needed a snack.

Incidentally, 27 people voted for Yoshi's Cookie. It came in fifth place.

After eating all of Yoshi's cookie, Turb decided to skip Yoshi, which inexplicably people had indeed voted for (36 of them in total. It came in at fourth place.) and just go look for the important Yoshi games that most people had actually liked. Not having a map, shehe set out in the direction of the trippy felt decorations since it at least looked a little different from the rest of the island.

Obviously the reason there would be felt decorations would be because Yoshi's Story was voted the third favorite Yoshi game with 248 votes (incidentally twice as many as Yoshi, Yoshi's Cookie, Tetris Attack, Yoshi Topsy-Turvy, Yoshi Touch & Go, and even Yoshi's Safari got combined. Did anyone even play any of those games?). Turb retrieved the cartridge and continued on to the next level.

"We are going to continue to the next level!", Turb said as shehe blasted away a crowd of rabid Yoshis. Luckily, herhis journey would be made easier; shehe had found Poochy! With Turb on his back, Poochy galloped gloriously off into the sunset towards the next level.

Soon, Turb had arrived at the next Yoshi game; Yoshi's Island DS! I thought everyone hated that game? How did it get 441 votes? Coincidentally, 1,441 votes were cast, so exactly 1,000 people voted against Yoshi's Island DS. Isn't that interesting? Unfortunately, Turb was prevented from entering the area because Poochy wasn't in that game. So, shehe just destroyed Yoshi's Island DS with herhis Super Scope. If shehe couldn't have it, nobody could!

"Hey! I liked Yoshi's Island DS!", said PerchMaggieMiu.

"Too bad! Waluigi time!", said Waluigi.

Turb disembarked from Poochy and examined the Mushroom House in which Waluigi had taken up residence and on which a dingy sign had been posted saying "Waluigi's Taco Stand". Shehe was obviously perplexed. But shehe was still hungry, seeing as the cookie hadn't filled herhim up and, being from Arizona, sheshehe (I missed this one last year somehow) did like tacos.

"No I don't", added Turb. "I like pasta and half-price appetizers."

"Too bad! Waluigi time!"

"So what are you doing here?", Turb asked of Waluigi.

Waluigi rolled his eyes. He got that a lot.

"What does it look like I'm doing. I'm selling tacos. Do you want one or not?"

Turb was very hungry, and there didn't seem to be a pasta stand around.

"What kind of tacos are these?"

"Spicy ones."

"Ok, I'll take two."

PerchMaggieMiu was so happy. For once in his career Turb had actually done something nice for him. He watched helplessly as Turb ate the spicy taco and fed the other one to Poochy, and then the group continued onward, Waluigi now in tow as well.

"What?", asked Waluigi. "I'm out of spicy peppers for my tacos."

And so the group trecked onwards until they reached a beautiful river valley, nestled in the jungley mountains of Yoshi's Island, marred only by the massive hordes of rampaging Yoshis destroying things. Shooting their way through the crowed, they reached the pepper patch, and it dawned on Turb why the Yoshis had been so angrey.

"They're eating the peppers! Who planted peppers here!?"

And so they went inside the hut next to the pepper patch and found Uniju playing the last game, Yoshi's Island, which won first prize with 625 votes.

"Uniju!" Turb screamed. "Why would you plant peppers on Yoshi's Island! We almost died! Do you know how angrey the Yoshis are!?"

Uniju shrugged.

"I hate Yoshis."

"Uh. Ok. Then why are you on Yoshi's Island."

"To grow peppers."

Turb furrowed herhis brow. Unfortunately at that moment shehe was swallowed up by a huge Yoshi. Waluigi and Uniju took their hats off in respect for Turb.

"A huge Yoshi ate our always super high school level Ultra Directorformer DirectorSub-Director", said Waluigi.

"Well I suppose that proves they're really not all bad", said PerchMaggieMiu, secretly happy his boss was gone.

"Shehe never made pudding", reminisced Uniju.

"Yoshi's Island is frightening in the dark.", Waluigi added. "All the Yoshis are running wild."

"What a crummy weekend this has been", said Turb, who had been spit out by the Yoshi. "Well, this sure ain't no E-ticket. Think I'll tell them where to stick it, because I'm never coming back this way again!"

"So how did you survive, always super high school level Ultra Directorformer DirectorSub-Director ShinonMercyKokichi Ouma?", asked Waluigi, who had donned a pink apron saying "kiss the the cook" and was pushing a taco cart.

"Yoshis hate peppers. I guess the spicy taco saved me."

Most of all, the audience was left wondering why Turb and PerchAnton? (Anton didn't tell me to do this)fucking Perch again had gotten SnackSmasherSnack to cobble together a presentation at the last minute like this. They must've known he would cobble it together in an hour or two with little to no inspiration. What were they thinkingonce again repost his presentation from what, like 2013 or something.redo and repost Snack's 5-or-so-year old presentation for him this time. remaster the presentation because this time it's actually the big fifth anniversary.

"ONE DOESN'T QUESTION ONE'S ALWAYS SUPER HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL ULTRA DIRECTORFORMER DIRECTORSUB-DIRECTOR!", shouted Turb, making the audience too frightened to continue that train of thought.
