Attendance and Publicity

Lately, we've had low non-member attendance at meetings, which sucks since having guests means there is a wider spectrum of opinions to choose from. Any ideas on how to get more people to show up?

He came in saying he was like a news reporter and he was recording the IRC chat for Youtube. If people stopped talking for a few minutes he'd go "WHY IS THIS CHAT DEAD" or "BOOOOOORING"

A few minutes!?!?! Talk about 5 seconds! At one point he is like "Chat's been dead for 8 seconds, where did everyone go!?"

I swear, I think that is why most people left in the first place. If it wasn't for the fact that I wanted to get stuff done - and my attendance was bad so far as I had a lot of conflicts - I would have left early as well.
