It doesn't. For DS systems, you need a cart that lets you play commercial games. For 3DS, you need to softmod it (like the Wii).
You can back up your save/game easily after that.
So, hey. Looks like nobody's noticed that Mario Kart Arcade GP DX was leaked a few weeks ago, and its now playable using TeknoParrot, a program for arcade games using Windows. We can rip music from it now.
Let's Get a Move On from Mario Party 3 and Pandemonium! from Mario Party 9 were remixed for the Top 100, but got unused. There's also a missing song between a Mario Party 8 and a Mario Party 9 song, which makes me believe there was another minigame from MP8 planned.
