Everyone moving at once isn't new to Mario Party. (video)

I hope this isn't the final boxart.

It remind me of Nintendo who pretend that Toadette was a new playable character in Mario Party 10, although she was a newcomer in Mario Party 6. Wow, they don't even know what they are doing as game mode anymore.

For the boxart, if it is the final one, this is the most horrible boxart they could do

I actually kinda like the boxart.

All the overcrowded and complicated boxarts annoy me for some reason.

Me, its depends of the game, but for the Mario Party series, they need to make a clear picture that shows that the game is fun, but, for the Mario & Luigi series, it's the opposite, I like the simplicity of the cover, we easily recognize that it is a Mario & Luigi game.

I remember when Mario Party 8 came out I read a review that stated ''This series needs a fire lit under it.''

Did he mean that as in the series needs to get things cooking or that it needs to burn and die?

As in it needs to get it's ass in gear.

I interpreted the 'everyone moves at once' thing as everybody rolling and moving all at once rather than having a turn order, but I guess it could be the car.

My prediction is that Mario will be playable.

Well I got one thing right, looks like the second one was too bold of a prediction.

wait i just want to call attention to this post because it is important

shit

I thought it looked familiar.

I'm not sure if I even want this game. I've gotten 9, IT, and 10, and I played them only like once or twice, even tried to get my family to play it, and they restore to us playing MP8 if we have a Mario Party family night (we would probably play the earlier if we had more working GCN controllers).

I am glad it's not the car, but IT didn't have cars either and it still was bad. I'm not sure how much depth there will be to this game, but it doesn't look very interesting from the trailer. It'll probably be meh.

People say that the boxart resembles the one on the Spaghetti-Os can, but to me it resembles something you see on one of the Nintendo rewards website (I do not remember which one), which is to say stock official art. I suppose it's a "can't un-see" moment at this point.

Thanks for reading.

Ok, here's the "Spaghetti-Os" can / Nintendo Kids Club / Simon Mall event artwork.

And here's this artwork used in the boxart.

The differences are the circle border is different, the super star artwork is more HD-er.
And Toad's artwork is new, nearly same pose. And it's Red Toad, not the "main" Toad.
EDIT: And note that the border is similar to this:

Just gonna say , tha a) Nobody asked for this game , b) this is not what people have asked for ever since Mario Party 9 introduced an awful mechanic and c) Change never means Better for gods sake people get it right ! Look at Paper Mario since Sticker star , is it better ??? Ok bye

NO TURNS
TOAD ONLY
UNIMPRESSIVE-LOOKING BOARD

but seriously, this seems like a nice enough game from the trailer. might actually purchase this at some point (still a low-priority though)

Y'know, I don't think it's actually from a Spaghetti-O's can, it's just a stock image of Mario characters that just so happens to appear on the same can.

The same image appears on a calendar

And my twin sister's folder uses the same image

GoNintendo is probably clueless about that.

Yeah it's just stock artwork. Lost track of how many times I've seen that one Bowser artwork where he's crossing his arms.

ehhh i dont think its that away from the real deal

While Nintendo sometimes uses placeholder artworks , this is not convincing me

Particulary because , Puzzle And Dragons is boxart is composed by Old Artwork

And because they didnt exactly use the same image. They added a dice and edited the frame and the Toad not only has as different vest , he looks updated and shiny like the other artworks compared to his old artowork in the original image.

They actually edited this quite a bit , and since this is Nintendo ... well , you do the math.

I don't understand why they'd go out of the way to make an entirely new Wii U-style render for Toad and leave the others as Wii-style renders. Why bother when you can just recolor Toad's vest texture?

As i said , its because this is most likely to be the actual artwork for the game box.

They even bothered to put a dice in Marios hand.

To be 100% fair, there's also this artwork that was seen so many times you will be barely able to count them:

Last seen in official material here, 2 days ago.

Oh yeah. But for some Mario art, jeez, you can't stop seeing some, even though Mario has a rich library of artwork (wish I could say the same for other characters).
