Why come you can't have a spoiler in your signature?

Just like the topic title says, why come you can't have a spoiler in your signature?
 
There's either an error with the feature, or it's been set so that people can't use spoiler tags in their sigs.
 
I think it's just an error like Stoob said. I noticed they don't show up in the "recent posts" thing either. So, Spoiler tags must only show up on actual posts. :-\
