Would you want it to happen?

Personally, I'm all in for it.

It would be a pretty neat exclusive by Capcom for the Switch.

It could be a great fighting game and could co-exist with Smash just as Pokken Tournament is doing currently.
I would love to see all of Capcom's characters go head on one on one with Nintendo's characters like Mario, Link, Zelda, Peach, Daisy, and so on.

I would especially love to see Peach go up against Roll which is something that will probably won't happen in Smash Bros due to the limits of fighters and everything.
I think it would turn out to be a great game.

What do you guys think?

Ammy for Smash
This isn't the place for Smash character requests. This is about if you would like to see a Nintendo VS Capcom crossover game. It would be a fighting game like Marvel VS Capcom and Tatsunoko VS Capcom.

It's called Super Smash Bros.
Yeah but that doesn't have every Capcom franchise and Roll in it as a fighter. I am talking about a hardcore traditional style one that Street Fighter and Marvel VS Capcom laid foundations for every single fighting game except for Smash Bros. Something that is more arcade like and not a party fighter like Smash is. Smash Bros is completely different from Street Fighter and Capcom's VS series. I am talking about Nintendo going against Capcom alone just as what Marvel and Tatsunoko have done.

no game is a true crossover with capcom unless it has Roll in it.
Yes and it has to have Resident Evil, Viewtiful Joe, Nathan Ladd Spencer, and bunch of other characters which is why I want there to be a Nintendo VS Capcom for all the Capcom characters to go up against Nintendo characters.

I... I think he was being Sarcastic, Pwwnd.

If the collaboration takes the approach of Street Fighter X Tekken and Tekken X Street Fighter, which are both crossovers but have a distinct fighting style between them (hint: the first part is what the game's fighting engine is based on), then it would be an interesting experiment, so a Capcom X Nintendo follows a VS style engine while a Nintendo X Capcom would probably use a different type of fighting game. I don't think it would adapt the Smash Bros. engine because it would basically cannibalise what that game represented.

I think the roster is a tricky issue, because Capcom just doesn't have as many all-stars as Nintendo do, and most of their all-stars are in the past, as opposed to Nintendo where they are able to pick representatives from their history. This is why I don't think the roster would be evenly split between both parties involved in the crossover. I do think that certain characters would very likely be excluded, namely Ness because he is Itoi's property.

Thank you for reading.

I don't think it would go the Street Fighter X Tekken and Tekken X Street Fighter route. It would just be the VS engine which is plain and simple like with Marvel VS Capcom and Tatsunoko VS Capcom.

Capcom also has a long list of characters too from like several of its franchises. Like they've had a lot of series. They can pick among all the best representatives just as how they did for the Marvel VS Capcom games and Tatsunoko VS Capcom. I mean we have the obvious Mega Man, Street Fighter and Resident Evil characters to pick along with some interesting characters like Nathan Rad Spencer from Bionic Commando, Viewtiful Joe, Dante from Devil May Cry,and so on and so on. I've seen some of those characters appear in some of Capcom's VS games.

Capcom already has a crossover franchise (Marvel Vs Capcom). But they could get one with Nintendo. The only obstacle is the fact that Smash is a thing, and we have MegaMan, Ryu and Ken there.

Well. It could be an arcade style fighter which is different from Smash which is more party style fighter that is unique. It could co-exist with Smash just as what Pokken Tournament is doing.

It would be cool to see a three-way non-smash fighting game crossover between Nintendo, Capcom and SEGA.

Hey, as long as it doesn't have any porn like most Capcom games I'll be cool with it. Just a Mario Vs. Megaman fighter would be nice as-is. I mean, Toad Vs. Zero, who would win?

If it employed more traditional 2D fighting mechanics like Street Fighter or Marvel VS Capcom then it would be cool. If they tried making it 3D I'd prefer Nintendo VS Namco.
