I hope we get another Mario Kart game so we get new results for this awards ceremony.

Hello everyone, Chibiki here! For this presentation, I've decided to use a format that most everyone who watches YouTube has seen by this point: The Top 10. (except it's a Top 5 because I was not recording myself playing and commentating on ten tracks)

A few small disclaimer-y things before we start:
- Do mind the weird audio cut-ins from the game footage, I don't own capture cards so I had to record everything on my phone and it's not the best.
- Disregard the fact that there is clearly a watermark present, I'm very broke and this was the best free video editor.
- Also disregard my choice of a still image at the beginning and near the end, I forgot to download anything relevant.

I'm not that surprised because Baby Park is widely disliked. It narrowly lost out to Number One. Which isn't Yoshi Falls. :(

Baby Park is a blast with friends, beating up CPUs, but it can be really miserable if things are against you, which could happen because the course hates everyone.

One question: what is this "Sticker Star early build" that was supposedly a major missed opportunity?

it was originally designed to be more like Paper Mario and Thousand-Year Door

Magikrazy at it again

One question: what is this "Sticker Star early build" that was supposedly a major missed opportunity?
It looked like it would follow the preceding games in gameplay instead of whatever *bleep* it ended up being.

Good evening (or otherwise) everyone, and we here on staff hope you're having a great day. Currently, we're focusing on the worst of the worst from the locations our plumber friend has visited on his many role-playing adventures. And with Mario responding neither to pings in #mwchat nor to frequent, lovingly-crafted emails to the sysop account, we've decided to hire a purportedly well-traveled anonymous painter to depict these places in all of their infamy instead. Accompanying and framing them are his personalized anecdotes; most of them strange, but none of them missing in action. Without further ado, the Fail Awards presents: F4 - Worst RPG Area.

After having traversed through grasslands, deserts, oceans, and all sorts of (frankly generic) worlds, I finally made it to my destination: World 8, the host of Bowser's Castle. Most everyone else was busy with "other duties" (that's how they described it, but personally I just think they're out Kart racing without me again), so they hired me to go do it.

I've already marched through a majority of this World too, and needless to say I did not have a very easy time as a plant in a fire setting. I'm getting incredibly close to Bowser's Castle, but the gap is so huge. I was wondering what exactly I could do to get across, when I found the method he'd supposedly intended: a minecart track. I hopped in and figured it'd be a breezy ride, but the track was VERY much under construction. I constantly had to jump from cart to cart, and between Neckies and Zingers and bouncing across tires just to make it out alive. I felt pretty dizzy at the end, but the point is that I made it and that's what matters most. Now the next challenge is...to not barf from the aftermath.

Spoiler: 5th (click to show/hide)

World 8 was certainly very brutal this time around; Bowser's Castle definitely won't be an exception. That gut feeling was absolutely right because I almost got thwacked against the head by a spiked ball. On top of that, the floor was made of Donut Blocks so I had to keep a constant move on. Lots of acrobatics and waiting later (mostly waiting), I slipped through into the next room.

Spoiler: 4th (click to show/hide)

In the next room of the castle, I was immediately bombarded with Fire Piranha Plants! The sheer amount of them made avoiding them very tricky, and the ice floor certainly didn't help. Not only was it keeping me from moving as I wanted, but it was gradually melting into Munchers! I came up with a wacky idea: use Petal Dance to block the fire and to spin across the ice. It was risky, as someone who doesn't handle fire very well, but it was my only shot and lucky for me it just happened to get me through safely.

Spoiler: 3rd (click to show/hide)

I'd made it to the next room unharmed, but the screen started scrolling again and I knew I wasn't in for a very comfy ride. Rocks were falling left and right and I was very close to getting my noggin squashed. I wasn't sure it knew where it was going either, because I swear I've been in this section of the stage before. I was about ready to lose my sanity when I saw the exit door...

Spoiler: 2nd (click to show/hide)

...wait a sec, where's the door? All I see is...a bottomless pit! I tried to escape my fate but the autoscroller just kept going and made me plummet. I fell for hours (well it seemed like hours, anyway, I was falling) with nothing below me but boiling lava. Good thing I found a Magic (P-)Balloon! I took a quick glance to my right and noticed a bridge and an axe; surely, this must be the last challenge before Bowser himself. I slowly but surely floated by way to bridge and...hey wait, what's that coming towards me?

No...

No!

Now, for the past two years I've handled this award, you've seen me nearly break your thread and your mind with an abhorrent abuse of forum tags and images. So, without further ado, it's time to

just :metal: AESTHETIC :metal: my ▄▀▄▀shit▄▀▄▀ up fa〽

there's no one here anymore

...
...
...
...actually, let's not do that. I have an even better way to make you utterly horrified. Surely, the worst setting for a community-related video is the Worst Setting award! So, please enjoy this awful recap of the completely unaesthetic Day 1 and Day 2 from last year's Mario Awards Killing Game while I go sit in the corner and think about my life decisions.

(the first 5 Mario tracks used in this video are from games whose settings placed 6-2, and the epilogue music is from everyone's favourite number 1 fail nominee)
