New Game Idea

Mario and Luigi are twin brothers who have been almost inseparable since birth. Their love for each other is unique and indestructible. Luigi, however, has liven in Mario’s shadow, being the sidekick to Mario throughout all their adventures. Luigi has always respected his brother however he is sometimes jealous of the fame his brother gets, but Luigi has learned to control his envy. But now Luigi gets his chance to be the hero he has always dreamed to be when Bowser is up to his usual no-good shenanigans.



All is well in the Mushroom Kingdom. It is Princess Peach’s birthday and the entire kingdom is preparing to throw one of the largest party in their history. The large event is just getting started when Bowser invades the Mushroom Kingdom and makes a beeline for Peach’s castle, where she, Mario and Luigi are preparing for the festivities as well. Bowser’s minions capture Princess Peach, knock Luigi out and set up their new empire on the site of the Mushroom Kingdom. However, to make matters even worse, Bowser’s thugs have taken Mario captive as well, and Kamek’s magic turns Mario into an evil version of himself, one who works for Bowser. All of the Toads have been turned into slaves, and the Mushroom Kingdom is turned into the New Koopa Empire.


Luigi wakes up far, far away from his home. He sets out to save Peach, his brother, and the entire Mushroom Kingdom when he realizes he doesn’t quite know what to do without Mario leading the way. Luigi then goes to Sarasaland, a neighboring kingdom ruled by Princess Daisy, a close friend of Peach (and rumored love interest of Luigi). Luigi enlists the help of Daisy and her closest advisors to set out and save the entire Mushroom Kingdom, as well as the ones Luigi is closest to.

This game can end with the confirmation of a romantic relationship between Luigi and Daisy, which has been rumored for years with evidence to prove it. I would like any suggestions to this story, especially this game’s title.

It's ok. I'm not a fan of the whole "and then he goes to find Daisy and they fall in love" thing. It's such an overdone fanon and Luigi wasn't even in Super Mario Land. Evil Mario is also cliche but it could work, since we haven't seen Mario himself brainwashed in the games (iirc) and only impostors/clones. I don't think Luigi has any negative emotions toward Mario and much like Mario v. Mr. L/Dimentio, it would probably be one of the hardest things he's ever forced himself to do to fight his own brother.

A Luigi adventure game imo should utilize say, King Boo who's antagonized Luigi more than Mario and could be called Luigi's equivalent to Bowser. Or Dimentio but that'll never happen. No limits in fanon though.
