Shortcuts in Super Mario 64 (and possibly other 3D games as well) relevant?

When reading the articles for Super Mario 64/Super Mario 64 DS star missions, I noticed that just the intended way to get the star is described, but not faster alternative methods or shortcuts. A good example is Wall Kicks Will Work, which has a major shortcut: You can jump all the way down from the course's top, where the starting position is, to the wallkick section by using a single jump followed by a kick straight before landing to prevent fall damage and get some additional backwards momentum.
Altough this is a very popular shortcut, it is not mentioned by a single word in the article.

Are such major shortcuts relevant and if yes, is a new section "==Shortcut==" required, like it is done in Mario Kart articles? And what about glitch-abusing shortcuts like Cannonless, Bomb Clip, Pillarless or others, are they relevant too, altough they are glitches and considerably more difficult to perform?

PS: I'm only talking about shortcuts, which can be used to gain the star faaster, not about ABC or CCCless strats, which can be extremely complicated and difficult to understand for readers if they don't know about SM64's mechanics.

One rule we have on the wiki is strategy-less writing. For the mission articles, posting shortcuts are well and good if they're intended, like the tunnel in Slip, Sliding Away. We shouldn't cover every possible outcome or path, that should be to StrategyWiki (or maybe a trivia), as that could end up being filled with long paragraphs of every possible outcome. The reason why the Wall Kicks Will Work shortcut you mentioned isn't on the article is because the shortcut isn't intended.

Thanks for the reply. But why are non-intended shortcuts in Mario Kart listed, like the GV glitch, when only intended ones are allowed?

So that means I can write about pillarless or bomb clip in the respective star mission articles, as these are glitches, but not about other shortcut such as the mentioned Wall Kicks Will Work one or the sideflip to wallkick shortcut to get Shoot Into the Wild Blue in WF without the cannon, as those are not intended by the developers, but aren't glitches?

Pretty much, yeah. The players have the freedom to find the fastest possible route, or go the way the level is intended. Players will find several different ways to accomplish the tasks and reach the goals. We simply just couldn't list all of them.
