ForteReborn's art pad!

ForteReborn

The Cack Bat is here to stay!
I am still trying the forums still, so I thought about showing off my skills in artwork. I've been drawing seriously since the age of 12, and recently began establishing into digital so my art improvement tends to be really erratic this year due to acquiring Clip Paint Studio, and figuring it out slowly.

Mario & Luigi: RPG series fanart:

First Cackletta drawing: https://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=61356294

Mario & Luigi: Dream team: https://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=62606185

Second attempt at Cackletta (This is when M&L remake was revealed): https://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=62701507

Cackletta & Fawful (Began trying a new coloring style at this point): https://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=64035152

Cackletta (This is improvement of now just two months later): https://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=65140714

Cackletta battle tribute (Finished today, and current skill level at this program. After three months, this was quite a feat to get here, so I am proud of my hard work.): https://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=65196041

I do other topics in art, but I am just mainly showing off my Mario fan art mostly.

Any reason you gave Cackletta more reptilian features than normal?

I blame how the sprites are rendered in the GBA. They seem to have given her a slight nostril, and I have a tendency to add a bit of 'dragon', or dinosaur to things since I happen to be a big fan of them. So personal preference, and tweaking to get it right.

Of course when I draw Fawful, he ends up having a turtle face, but I go along with it since it has some sort of appeal to it.

Fantastic artwork! I like your art styles and you're drawing some of my favorite characters so yay ;D

Thank you! It was a difficult road since I didn't have the tools to help me in the past. Discovering the stabilization tool help succeeded that difference. Months later, it is hardly a difference between the speed of the pen, and my line art is cleaner.

Splatoon fanart, here. This is my first attempt at the program back in June right after my birthday at some point. I stubbornly clung to Krita since I had experience with painting, so that program had a brush that I was remarkably too familiar with. (I am also a traditional artist, so I am very used to not relying on programs to fix mistakes. So pictures would take months to finish, especially that Luigi's Nightmare is proof of how long it takes.)

So this is an example of krita's usage with the painting style that I am fondly used to. The program began to slowly tax on me, and wouldn't actually save in PNG. Crashing was unavoidable, and it would lag at any given moment, slowing me down. Clip Paint Studio was given to us by a user on the squidboards, and I am thankful for it because it changed the path of my art for what it is today.

Since this topic gotten some decent activity, here is more stuff but not Mario fanart so here we go:

Rider Kun (From the Splatoon corocoro series. He is rival, and mentor of the main character; Goggles Kun. This was for a friend of mine who works as a mod for the squidboard's discord.): https://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=65126758

Mighty No. 0 Ray (I know this game isn't good, but I have a very hard soft spot for Ray which was the best part of the game for me. I was trying for something different since at the time I was a bit exerted from coloring that day.): https://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=65077090

Starman Deluxe (I was busy listening to the entire OST soundtrack of Earthbound, and just so happen to like the color of gold, so there.): https://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=65076944

Also honorary mention of someone else who just did Cackletta today out of spite:

I do actually have a twitter account which gets more random sketches that I normally don't show off to the public, so there is that. Lately my activity is picking up more, and more on there since I've been so busy lately. So apologizing for this long post, hahahaha.

Pret-ty good. Sucks that Krita is having issues for you. So far, I didn't run into problems, exporting to PNG was actually done and the crashing didn't really happen. It's a bummer because I like Krita and I think Photoshop is a tad overrated for drawing?

When I first ran it for a few months, it seemed fine. But after weeks went by, it seem to lag or just crash during a process. I should boot it up again one day just to see if it is functioning normally. I read some others had similar problems, and it is kinda random when it occurs.

I used to use Photoshop, but in my honest opinion I hated coloring on it. Plus back in the day mac users did not have the tool to stabilize the pen stroke till much later, which you must pay for now. The only thing I do miss from it is editing, but that is a bit it on the scale in terms of using it.

Plus now knowing you have to pay a subscription is a tad annoying for me at least. Especially if one day you are somehow not in the mood to use it, and forget to pay it for that month.

Sorry, it has been a while, and right now I am extremely exerted from doing a month's worth of art. (I have done more than what I am showing here, granted my hand is very sore from drawing so much.)

I will list what shows here: Cuphead, Zelda, Cobra the Space Pirate, Mario & Luigi, Cackletta, Fawful, Splatoon, CoroCoro Splatoon, and other things, don't remember.

I stupidly spelt Inktober with an 'i' in it, I feel shameful but I am tired, and blasting seven pictures also in one day has taken a tow on me. (I will be busy tomorrow playing Mario Odyssey, so I had to get it all done in one fall sweep.)
