Looks like everyone's done, so Round 2 has started!

Matches:
Luigi 64DD vs. fantanoice
Cirdec vs. freakworld
4td0 vs. Ninelevendo

Matches must be done by this time next week (I'd do a timestamp, but I'm not sure how to do the coding :P), though time frame can be extended if needed. Good luck!

1-1 against 4td0, in the last match the timer ran out and I was losing, does 4td0 win?

I never really explained the "tie" thing, did I? Cursing myself now.

I regard a tie in this case as a Sudden Death, as in if a Sudden Death occurred, it's a tie, because both members still had an equal amount of stocks left. Otherwise, the match would go to whoever had the most stocks at the end.

If that messes up anyone else's scores any, please let me know because I goofed.

4td0 and I had a match that went to sudden death and I think we had equal stocks. We ended up going with lowest percentage.

The timer is too short tbh, most tournaments do 2 stock 8 minutes

Most of the tournaments I've seen do 2 stock, 5 minutes. That's how it is online on 1-on-1 For Glory as well. If you think the timer is too short for your matches, you're free to expand it if the other person agrees.

I won 2-1 against Fanta. However, Fanta and I are really beginning to question the 5-minute timer. We did two matches with the timer on and one with it off. In the ones where it was on, we only got about halfway though each other's 3-stock lives before it ran out! It kinda makes me feel bad because the one where it as off was the one where Fanta won... In any case, GGs.

The main issue was that we were both getting really high pings because we're on opposite sides of the world. Meant we had the added overhead of trying to adapt to laggy input with conservative play. Even with that a lot of our attacks weren't hitting anyway.

The last match we both had lost a single stock and approx same percentage (I was slightly higher so Luigi got the win) so it felt cheap to lose that way.

In any case I'm going to request no timer in future matches but I think it would be worth reviewing the rule.

I suppose for this final round, the time limit can be removed to keep things smooth. I apologize if there's any bumps here. This is the first tournament I've hosted, so I'm a little noob-ish. I did say earlier that you're free to expand the timer (infinite is an expansion) if the other person agrees. Nothing I can do about the lag, though...

Apologies for the delay here as well. Luigi 64DD had an issue with his Wii U, and I wanted to give him time to resolve it before moving on. But now we can move on to the third and final round!

Ninelevendo vs Luigi 64DD
fantanoice vs freakworld
Cirdec vs 4td0

After this round, the tokens will be distributed based on the results of the tournament.

Still haven't heard back from Fantanoice or Freakworld. Would like to have the results before the 30th, after which you'll both receive no points for the final round. Tokens will be distributed after I get the results or on the 31st.

Freakworld has dropped from the tournament, which means Fantanoice moves through unopposed.

And with that, the tournament has come to a close! Rankings are placed below, and my next post will contain the tokens for the players.

1. Cirdec: 3 Wins, No ties or losses
2. Luigi 64DD: 2 Wins, 1 Loss, No ties
3. Ninelevendo: 1 Win, 1 Lose, 1 Tie
3. 4td0: 1 Win, 1 Lose, 1 Tie
5. Fantanoice: 1 Win, 2 Losses, No ties
6. Freakworld: 3 Losses, no wins or ties

Lastly, would like to apologize for any mishaps that occurred. First tournament I've hosted like this. Hopefully next year will be better.
