Hello, everyone! Just a reminder that races are due June 25th! I will also like to note that if you ask and need one, I can offer extensions to the deadline, as long as they are within the 26th-30th date range.

I still need results from the groups listed below:

Group A
  • Alex95 (Powmas)
  • PowerKamek (Memere)
  • Super-Yoshi (Adriel)
  • Luigi 64DD (Babing)

Group C
  • Stargazing (Sasha)
  • Red Barchetta (Ben)
  • Crackin355 (Crackin)
  • Fantanoice (Fantanoice)

Thank you everyone so much! I just need to finalize times with Group C and get that race underway.

Here is a sample layout of Round 2 and 3, with 3 people advancing to Round 2. If you don't like this layout, please let me know.

You know... Mario Kart 7 supports 8-player in both local and wireless play, so that would mean you can have the top two from each group compete in just one round. I am saying this because I don't see posts from groups A and D about who came in third. And from my group (B), it would be a little difficult as there are two types of scores (one the can be seen if someone has the code, and the ones we PM amongst our group and Stargazing).
I don't have time to give you a ride, I am managing a space station. And ask me something here:www.marioboards.com/index.php?topic=38633.msg1934343#msg1934343

Yep! My main worry about this is people may fear of communication issues the more people we add. But, if everyone is okay with it, I am happy to take this set up and run with it.

I am saying this because I don't see posts from groups A and D about who came in third.
I was sent every single result from first to fourth.

I had it set to 3 rounds in my plans, since it was that for the 2 years previous in hosting the tournament:
Racers will be pooled in groups of 4-6. The top 2-4 will move on to the next round, and the final 4-6 will face off in the finals.

It can be changed if that's what we agree on, I wouldn't want anyone to stress out and not do their best because it was suddenly too much for them to handle.

It might be best to keep the rounds to four players if possible. This way, the race times can be better coordinated between the racers and there'd be a lower risk of lag.

I think four people for rounds is a better choice.

I say that 4 players per group is a good idea.

Edit: I forgot to mention. It would be a good idea to have 2 1st place people and 2 2nd place people in each round. No person close to another in points should be competing in that group for round 2. For example a person with 20 points shouldn't compete in round 2 with a person with 18 points, but with a person with 17 points is ok unless there is no one with 18 points.
