USB headphones won't stay connected to my laptop

My dad gave me a pair of USB gaming headphones (if it makes any difference, they're the Klipsch KG-300) the other day, and on Sunday I plugged them into my computer but the physical connection was very unstable. This problem didn't happen on Saturday when I first tried them, so I'm not sure if it's the cord or my computer.

Mostly what's happening is that even though my computer "registers" that the headphones are plugged in, the computer only registers for about half a second before it thinks I unplugged the headphones.

E: Also, for some reason it causes YouTube videos to stop playing correctly, like the internet isn't working even though it is.

do they show up in the device manager after youve put them in?

check windows symbol in the lower left -> right click -> device manager (im assuming you use windows 8.1 or 10)

if they do, try uninstalling/reinstalling the driver and/or check for driver updates.

if they don't there's actually something wrong with the connection

I sometimes have this problem too. Try unplugging and replugging it in.

Did you try going to the playback devices and try set the headphones as default when you are using them?Or they are probably malfunctioning?
