Many TV shows start out great but as some shows enter later seasons things start to go worse. Which TV Show/Cartoon/Sitcom/Anime went like this?

srsly tho family guy is now only used to push seth macfarlane's religious and political stances, what happened to the days when it was classical slapstick comedy?

le first season and most of the second was hilarious, but after that it became pretty damn dull

edit: also all the arcs after the Aincrad arc in Sword Art Online weren't as good as the aforementioned arc, though I did still really enjoy those latter storylines (especially GGO <3)
 
Most Western cartoons experience season rot after their 4th season

I wouldn't say the Simpsons has gone bad but rather from good to not as good. The later seasons aren't bad at all they just don't have the charm that the earlier seasons had.
