Xbox 360 Hardware Problem

I owned my Xbox 360 for about 2 1/2 years now, i decided to play some Call Of Duty today but then it began to lag heavily. For a moment i thought it was connectivity but then my Xbox turned off by itself and didn't turn on for a total of 3 hours.

3 hours later i turned it on and it worked, i let out a sigh of relief right before my TV began to display a red screen, crash, and turn off my xbox again.

I did it again and it turned on, but it didn't display anything and the controllers wouldn't connect to it.

I seriously need help with this.

Make sure the cables are secured well. If uncertain unplug them and plug them back. Seems to work for some people.

I tried that but it didn't work.

EDIT: Oh, it's fixed now.

are you sure it's not a problem with your cooling system?
