I went to log on to my computer, and I noticed that the sound icon from my taskbar was missing. I tried to fix it on the customize icons screen but it did nothing. Does anyone know the solution for this? (I'm using Windows 8 btw)
 
It happened once to me and the solution was just to reboot. Don't know if that'd help for you, though.
