For those who aren't in the know, the official American site has been updated. Has some new screenshots and art, as well.
So Gooper Blooper's a boss (presumably of the forest world), and Ninjis, Snifits, Bloopers with three dark spots on their heads (probably a new variety?), and regular...
I'd like to see more characters from Super Mario World return. Monty Moles, Mechakoopas, Banzai Bills, and Munchers have pretty much become recurring enemies, the Reznors were in NSMB2, and Torpedo Teds, Thwimps, Sumo Bros., and Bony Beetles are set to appear in NSMBU.
I'd really like to see...
Aside from Yoshi's Story (when I was really little), there aren't any game over screens in Mario games that creep me out too much.
Donkey Kong Country, on the other hand...
Then there's the people who rag on games such as Kirby's Epic Yarn and a certain game involving paper and stickers.
Some people accept the changes, while others swiftly write them off as terrible without playing them. I guess it just boils down to opinions.
Wow, now that we've seen more of the environments, I won't have to worry about the world themes not being creative.
That's a pretty rash assumption. I'm sure the new games are made in Japan before the English-speaking divisions localize them.
Wow, they're really driving the papery elements into full force now. I kinda like that.
Although seeing Goombas disintegrate and turn into ash after being caught on fire is slightly disconcerting.
For the 2D games, at least, and they're getting a tremendous amount of bile for this reason. NSMB2 has dislike comparable to that of Sonic the Hedgehog 4.
And now Sticker Star is catching flak for being too different, despite still being a turn-based RPG in its core, and not being released yet.
It's just Nintendo of America's PR department trying to get people hooked, as usual. If anything, this is be NSMBDS's true successor: a much better follow-up to a mediocre game.
The new PM is the sole reason why I bought a 3DS, so that's my most wanted one out of the bunch. NSMBU is my second most wanted one, since it happens to be a follow-up to the best installment of the NSMB series.
LM:DM looks plain uninteresting, and I'll need to see actual footage of SSBU/3DS...
I'd totally love to hear Super Mario World's boss music in a new Mario game. I'm tired of hearing the overrated (in my opinion) Super Mario Bros. 3's boss music already.
