whenever i copy an image and paste it on paint it has a white background

is it possible to make it transparent
 
not in win7

you can in xp iirc
 
yes you can make it transparent but ONLY during image editing and if the white background has the same color as the white paint of the right cell (Color 2)

go under "Select" and select "Transparent selection"

Paint does NOT support image transparency: if you copy and past a transparent image into this, it will show up as a black background
