Virtual Console
My reason for thinking this is that the GameCube Controller was the preffered Controller for N64 and GCN games back in the Wii VC. Now that the official GCN Adapter is coming out for the Wii U as Smash Bros Wii U comes out, N64 and GCN virtual console will be added. Other Controllers will still be usable for those games, just not recommended.
