Ummm kinda confused about something.. there's something about File:Big Beanie Artwork - Yoshi's New Island.png that GIMP doesn't like.

Whenever I open the image in GIMP and edit/overright it, it makes the edges very visibly jaggered when I open the saved image in other programs.

Da faq?!

Can you show us what's wrong?

When created image from clipboard and exported as .png, nothing went wrong.

Okay well this is the original image:

Big_Beanie_Artwork_-_Yoshi%27s_New_Island.png

And when I simply overright it in GIMP this is what I get:

MjJZA1k.png

edit: It happens with photoshop as well, so I think its something to do with the image itself.

It showed with me with no problems, opened it in Photoshop and then saved it again.. What exactly are you trying to do?

Check your GIMP export settings. Try experimenting with those. Maybe it's handling the transparency in a way that's not optimal.

Okay, I figured it out, for some reason all YNI artwork (at least, the ones I checked) is in Indexed mode. To fix that, open the image in GIMP and in the menu bar go to Image > Mode > RGB.
